Determining Barrel twist

Put a cleaning rod with a snug patch in the barrel.
Make a mark on the rod and push to the end. Mark the rod at that point.
Count how many turns the rod made.

For a 6 inch barrel, just double the amount of rotation and that's how many turns per foot.
In other words, if the rod rotates 1/2 turn in the 6 inch barrel, that means double that would be 1 full turn in a foot, or 12 inches per foot twist.

Sorry If I'm nor being really clear, it's been a long day.
