Disposable Razor Rant!

You don't have to do that Shoo, we have a local Dollar Tree here. I just don't know which pack you like. They have several different ones at the store here.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve, The ones I use from Dollar Tree are "Super-Max Swift 3". 1 razor, 4 heads, $1. Give them a try and then you'll thank me later, Shoo

I just swipe one from the wife's multi-pack when I need one to trim around my beard. Lasts a while as I only trim once a week or so. They are pink but it saves me buying my own brand.

My friend always asks for the "complimentary razors" at hotels he stays at, and when he has his wife with him he askes for 2.

One of the reasons for the high price of blades is because they are one of the most stolen items, got that information from someone in the retail business. Guess who pays the cost of all that stolen stuff ??? Yep, us gun totin' honest folks. I'll post the name of the razors at Dollar Tree once I get home, Shoo
Well there ya go scooter.....steal them.

+1 on the straight razor. I've been shaving with a good hunk of German steel now for 25+ years. I only use the disposable junk with I'm on an overseas trip and don't want to risk my Henckels.

Went to the local Dollar Tree last night. They did not have the Super Max Swift 3 razors, but they did have 10 packs of Personna twin blades for $1 each. Bought three packs. That should last me a few weeks, plus they were marked "Made in USA"! I did not think we could make anything anymore!!!!!

Shaving brushes are a fine source of staph and strep bacteria. Back in the day, before antibiotics, many a man was put in the ground as the result of a shaving cut. That's why beards were so popular, especially among the moneyed class.

Use a good areosol shaving cream like Nivea, or your whatever your choice is. It's much more sanitary.

Thank's to my collection, i'm self sufficient :D

And ruin the enviroment. (Not trying to start something, just stating a fact.)

Parker (cheaper) or Merkur (more expensive) D.E. safety razor. I purchased blades for $.16 each compared to $3.00 each for a disposable blade. I also prefer to use a brush to soften the beard & apply soap. I change the blades every 2 weeks. Best & least expensive shaves i've ever had.

I'm surprised more people don't shave in the shower. It's fast and smooth, doesn't require shaving cream or lotion, doesn't mess up the sink or mirror, and is a more efficient use of time(I shave as I'm rinsing the soap off of me). I ususally buy the cheapest 3 blade disposables and they seem to last a long time and are cost effective. I have a small mirror and razor at my office in my desk, that I use to "square up" my side burns if needed.

I like a slant-bar Merkur DE razor, usually with Feather blades. Add a little Proraso shaving soap in a tube with a brush, and I'm in good shape.

As Seen on TV Sharpner

Save your money! POS! Actually appears to nick the blade, as it only contacts one side.

I usually pick up name brand disposables at flea mkts for a buck a bag. I've always been cheap. I'm also an advocate of shaving in the shower.

Shaving in the shower is multi-tasking and easier on the environment. Also, your disposable razor seems to last twice as long.
