Do any of you still use shaving soap and a brush?

I did long ago.
Now the brush keeps the dust off of the piano's keys and the horns/guitars as necessary.
Gets the sawdust off the guns when they come out of the woodshop as well..... prior to a proper cleaning.

Yes, I mostly used a double edge razor with shaving soap and a brush.

What this forum is to Smith & Wesson this forum is to shaving:

never once. my grand-dad used a bar of soap. washed his face with said bar and shaved.

that is what i do. money seems a bit tighter now so i see no reason to buy special stuff. bar soap has worked for me for 40 years.

your mileage may vary.

I hear that before he grew a beard, Chuck Norris would just use a hammer. He'd pound the stubble back into his cheeks and bite the hairs off with his teeth.

Shave in the shower with the wife's razor-like the lubricating strips and the pretty pink color. Touch up missed spots and square the side burns with my razor over the sink.
Used to do the shaving mug and cup thing years ago but then life and kids happened. Full disclosure-I also use the 1.88 double sized bottle of Suave Daily Clarifying from the Wally.
Money saved goes to more important things....like scotch

I always used a brush and mug, except when on vacations, where it was easier to pack a small can of Barbasol with my brush, than my glass mug. I came home from college my second year with a beard to surprise my family and then girlfriend (now wife). Girlfriend said "shave it off", i refused. My Mother told me to shave, again I refused. Went to visit my maternal grandparents. "Who in Hell are you?" my grandmother asked. My grandfather then escorted me into his bathroom to use his brush and mug, so my grandmother could greet me as she always did. I still use my brush and mug to shave.

Yup - every single day! Other than a couple of times in college when I tried a Track Two razor, I've always used a double edge razor, soap and Badger brush. I have a bunch of them that I rotate each shave. the brushed are all Badger and I use Col. Conk's soap from West Coast Shaving.

Uh, noooooooooo….

I haven’t even bought a can of shaving cream in 20 years.

Disposable razor in the shower, no mirror.

I also don’t start my car with one of those crank things in the front.

My pa busted his wrist cranking one of those things as a kid. He also lost an eye working on engine when he was 12 (his dad had a car repair/blacksmith shop.)

Shave? My wife doesn't even know what I really look like as I haven't done a complete shave in almost 42 years, just trim the beard and neck from time to time with the electric. The closest I've really come to a razor was when she broke her wrist and I shaved her legs and pits for a couple months.
