LOL....really though, I like to carry my 10-5 but, I always found the maga type grips too small, not very comfortable. So the other day I found a set of targets in the back of the safe for a K frame, hmm, I tried them on, very nice firm feel, I like them even though I know that they don't belong on a 2" revolver. They may be large but fit my hand great. What say the hive? Sorry for the bad picture but I'm not a pro.

Uhhhmmm? Looks like a chunk of wood with a barrel sticking out of it IMO.
But if you like it, smile brother smile big and disregard the rest of us naysayers.

Make you look fat? No.

Carryout pizza, hamburgers, fries, and rich deserts make you look fat. The grips only look a bit out of place.

LOL...Non of that stuff, I'm 74, 5'10" 170, no problem tying my shoes.....only 2 lbs larger after I left the Army in 1967...but my revolver does look bigger...LOL

Yeah targets definitely don't belong on a 2" K frame - like putting 33" tires on a corvette. Magnas with Tyler T or these grips from John Hurst work for me.

If it feels good, do it! I would note that the OP didn't mention concealment. If those big honkers help you shoot better, then you are yards ahead. If you want to conceal, get a bigger jacket.
See bolded.....for me that is always 99% of the decision-making process. I just bought a nice 625-6 from a gent here, and while the wood grips they came with are beautiful on the gun, I switched them out for the S&W rubber combat style grips that he kindly threw in for me. I understand the collector mentality, but all my guns are carried, trained with, and in a nutshell, shooters.
I'm sure to some that's sacrilege, but as Peak53 intimates above, it helps me shoot better.

I've done exactly that set up on a 2" Model 15.

The revolver shot like a much longer barreled weapon.

I liked it's feel, but concealed carry was another story.

Wrong again. They certainly do belong on at least one 2" revolver - yours. How you or anyone else thinks they look doesn't count. How do they feel? How well can you shoot with them? Do they interfere with concealment?

You didn't need to post a picture, and our opinions don't count.

Grip Modification

I like the target grip, too. But I didn't like the look on my M15 snub.

So, I did some modifications.

ksqpg1-4web copy.jpg

1) Grips - before
2) Removed old finish
3) Cut a little off the bottom
4) Refinished

And on the gun.

I am assuming that yours is a SB. I have Herretts on my 2 snubs. 10-5, and 66-2. Of course round butt. But it is all about what feels right in your hand. Bob

a trimmed set of targets would be better. I need a set of grips that come up a little higher to cover up a pitting line left by rubber grips. And as I told my ex, its the fat that makes you look fat.

If your carrying it concealed the grips will be a problem. But, just rounded corners help there. Clotho is less apt to hang on something round and round doesn't attract the eye like a line does.

I do get the magnas are to small. I have some big XX large paws and I am not a magna fan at all. Beauty is all fine and good, but, function is supreme in my book
