Do you have OCD?

I'm much the same in my habits, sounds like your a well organized and disciplined person to me. However, you wife may need to change to meet your standards.....Have her work on that, instruct her as needed.

Little things don't bother me at all EXCEPT people who got all the way through school and don't know the difference between - YOUR....YOU'RE.....

AHHH, drives me bonkers.......

There, I feel better now!!;););):)

Oh, and that should be "your wife" instead of "you wife".
Now I'm funning with you!!

I don't know if this qualifies, but when I run on a treadmill I have a calorie target in increments of 50 I have to hit before I stop. Ideally this corresponds to a time that ends in either a ":00" or ":30". Drives me nuts when I hit the calorie number and the time is off. So then I run until the next whole minute comes around and the calorie number is a multiple of 5. Getting a lot of extra running done these days...

Or just about everyone now who says "Me and my friend went out."

I'm not but do like the pictures on the wall to be level and the rugs to line up with the floor boards.

But my friend we visited in FL for two nights in March has it really bad. Some examples of just two nights and days:

While we waited outside the gargage he just sat in the car touching all the knobs several times before moving the car to let us in.

He stood in front of a mirror for 20 minutes doing nothing while we were late for a function.

He made us sit in a sweltering car with the doors open while he meticulously wiped down 4 beach chairs and coolers before stowing in the back and turning on the car. We had to beg to have the A/C turned on.

After sitting outside the garage having before dinner drinks he put the table and chairs back in the garage with all chairs aligned perfectly in a row equally spaced.

His wife says he spends all day in the yard doing yard work and forgets to come in for lunch and dinner. He has a small yard and DOESN'T cut the grass so what can he be doing?

When going to dinner he shuts the car off, sits and turns off and touches every knob and control in the car several times and then deploys the club. On getting out he runs his fingers under each window to make sure they are closed.

He rotates his socks and underwear in the drawers (I guess I do some of that too).

So what do you guys think?

I think we're a bunch of self-aware, alert, quirky guys with "strong preferences"...

Your friend, on the other hand, has real issues.

I have OCD bad when it comes to my tools. I make sure they are clean and back in their proper place before I lock up my box. I don't loan out my tools either because I tend to come unhinged when someone borrows one of my tools, then either doesn't clean it and put it back where it goes or worse yet, just sets it down wherever they happen to be when they finish using it.

Or "its" and "it's".

Or "lie" and "lay". If someone tells you to lay on the sidewalk, prepare to be busted for public indecency.

But no, things like that don't bother me. I foam at the mouth a little, but that's probably just my age. Almost certainly.

Back in 1971, raised white letter tires were all the rage. I worked for a guy who bought a new truck for his business. It came with raised white letter tires. He thought the position of the white letters on the front tires should match the position of those on the back tires. Floor jack, raise front wheel, rotate until it matches rear wheel, lower front wheel. Next day, same thing. It took him a couple of weeks and a lot of convincing from me and others to make him realize that once the front wheels turn a few corners, the camber angle of the front wheels causes the white letters on the front tires to be out of sync with those on the rear. Even when he was convinced, it still drove him crazy.

LMAO! I hate raised white letters on tires! I mean sure, to each his own but, I just don't like them on my vehicle. That being said, my XJ had raised white letter tires on it when I bought it, and it still does because I'm too lazy to swap them around. When I eventually do get new tires, they'll be mounted black wall out.

Before I go to sleep, I check that the side door is locked, even though I know I locked it when I came in the house.
In my house, all the screws on the light switches and outlet cover plates are arranged so that slot is pointing straight up, floor to ceiling. Even the cover plate for the water stopper thing in the bath tub is pointed floor to ceiling. Same goes for all the screws on the door knobs, dead bolts, and ducts work cover plates.Anything that has a phillips screw, is arranged to appear as if it was a plus " + " sign.
If I had a gun safe, the combination dial would be reset to have the numeral zero aligned with the mark after I locked it.

I was in a house once that had all the screws in the cover plates aligned north and south. I notice things like that because I once built guns and aligned my screws in them north and south. I asked the owner who didn't have a clue that they were so I concluded it was done by the electrician or the builder. BTW it was a very nice house but I'd guess very few, if any people would even notice. I thought it a nice touch.
