Erocksmash: just get a new firing pin and spring. It will be good for another 15,000 rounds. 19X is a nice gun. Have a Glock 20 Gen 3 purchased about 15 years ago and purrs like a kitten.

No, and I don't keep venomous snakes at home, either.
I think both are inherently unsafe, by design.
The improved model Glocks are perfecter.
Don't own a Glock. Nothing against them, just prefer M&P's. That could all change over night if I find a deal on a 30sf.
I have the model 23 that was presented to me when I retired from law enforcement. I had a 27 (I think), but gave it to my youngest son many years ago. The Glock is a fine, reliable firearm, but as Kurusu says, not very attractive. But reliable, sturdy, and lightweight. I will always keep mine, because I'm a very sentimental man, and I will never part with any of my duty firearms.
