Just purchased a M-18, should have it early next week. Been looking for a long time.

Pre-18 here. It is a shooter grade, but with box, papers, tools, and grease paper. I just sold a beautiful pre-17, too nice for me to shoot, to another member here.

I had a nice 17, I don't know what dash-no., that I bought in the middle 70s. I sold it and a four digit serial no. flat-top Ruger .357 and bought my wife's engagement ring. That was in 1978. I do still have the wife, so it wasn't a terrible mistake.

I didn't vote but I don't have much interest in owning one. I had a M-17,34,63 and a boatload of other .22 revolvers, pistols, and rifles and don't own a single .22 at the moment. I've come to realize I just never really enjoyed shooting rimfires that much cause when I pull the trigger I want the gun to kick on both ends. I'm not a recoil junky, I don't even like shooting .44 Mags much anymore, but anything between .36 and .45 caliber is what I really love shooting in a handgun.

Well I enjoy shooting my model 17's alot.
They are more fun each time I take one out, especially as far as ammo costs go. The guns just keep on ticking just like the Energizer bunny !

I like my 617 too, but it's just a tad bit heavy, but super easy to clean.

Everyone should have a least one .22 gun of some type.........

Now if I could only find one of those 617's without the full lug for @
$ 375.00 NIB I would just have to take it home also....

How come no question about a Kit gun? Anyway I have one and I love it. I also have a Ruger pre-mark that is a lot of fun. I guess they're all fun, that's why I have them.
