I have a very worn pair of diamond magna's; K-SQ; no screw. Sold a bunch of stuff on ebay over the weekend and did pretty well. Had these listed for a few bucks but they didn't sell so I thought I'd thank everybody for the great discourse I enjoy here by giving them away. (Karma, if you will) If you want to take a crack at re-finishing or want this worn-out pair to replace the goodyears on your old beater they could be yours for free. I hate to just give them to the first response because if it were me I'd hate to miss out just because I was at work. Send me a pm. If I get multiple replies I'll pick somebody at random Tuesday night. Every body who might be interested will have had over 24 hours to see this.

Please put my name in the hat.

I'll strip them, put on a couple of coats of tung oil and give them a home on my K22 (also well worn).

Thanks.

I would love to redo those, been wanting to try some re-checkering, those I would not cry over if it did not turn out perfect.

Thanks for the opportunity.

In the service I learned to do it the old fashion way............

Linseed oil and the heat of your hands to work it in. If you know what you are doing, a torch flame to "High light" the grain in certain areas.

Takes a long time and lots of hard work but it is well worth it in the end..... but I had the best looking M14 in the Battalion.

I have one of those games for billiards which is a plastic bottle with numbered balls to match the billiard balls. (I think it's for when you have a bunch of people playing. Everyone picks a number and you try to be the last with your matching ball on the table.)

Anyway, 13 replied either here or PM (some both). Numbers were assigned in order by time stamp on the reply. The winner is ChuckD - your new lucky number is 9! Send me a PM with your mailing address and they'll be on their way.

Hope they turn out well. I'm sure we'd all like to see pics of them on your gun when they're done!
