IMHO, you have to be really, really paranoid to do that. Or live in a really, really bad neighborhood. Or have some really, really bad guys looking for you. Afraid and vulnerable in the shower?

Also, I didn't vote.

Even if it's in the bathroom, unless you have it in the shower you won't have a chance. The noise of shower will mask any noise an intruder makes, and if you have your gun on the vanity he can walk right in and pick it up while you are rinsing your hair.

That is why I always have a bunch of zip-loc bags in my bathroom. I can seal up my 686+ and have it right next to the soap and shampoo.

(Just kidding, really).

I would think you are more prone to get bit by an unwanted spider in the shower then anything else. But then again that's why they make Glocks.

I have an AR15 and knife right outside the shower.

Who hasn't had times when the odd tool is lost or misplaced that one time it's actually needed? Who's to say what that tool or situation may be?

I have a glock that sometimes gets set outside the shower on the counter. The counter is blocked from the door side so nobody would see it.

I live around a bunch of meth heads, and I deal with not very nice people while I'm at work. I may be paranoid, but that doesn't mean someone isn't going to find me someday.

That's a whole bunch of assumptions you've made there... I carry on my property and in my home, why would that stop when I bathe?

I'm not in constant fear of my door being kicked in or something, but if a situation does occur it's good to know I have something in arms reach and not in the next room. You can label me whatever you want.

Heck yes! Haven't you seen pulp fiction?!!! Just kidding of course lol.

I don't feel the need to bring my firearm in the bathroom with me unless it's a public bathroom. I don't want to expose it to a moist enviorument if I don't have to.

No. Its left in the walk-in closet with my clothes, which is about two steps from the shower door.

first of all, the moisture from the shower isn't good for metals that will oxidize (rust) nor electronics (cell phones) .For the last 25 years,Mrs right number two is the only company I have in the shower

I always have my BG380 in its pocket holster, so yes for bathroom breaks. The only time I carried a firearm for the shower was in Iraq, it was required.

Generally no. The only exception is when I'm staying in a hotel room, but that's primarily to not leave it out of my control, not because I worry about bathroom invaders.

And of course I would if I ever stayed in Florida just in case a Burmese python comes up out of the toilet ;) .

If y'all didn't hear the story about Lynn Russel, formally of CNN, and her husband read about it:

'Nothing to debate': Second Amendment, legal gun in my purse saved our lives | Fox News

He came out of the shower buck nekkid and the only gun he had was for fun.

I heard her last night on FOX and I think they clipped the end where she said she wished he didn't die. When asked why she said she wanted to shoot him again [and let him suffer].
