Do your better half CC,and what does She CC?

My other half doesn't carry - his choice. When I purse carry, its a 686+ 2 1/2" & when I on-body carry, its a Springfield XD9 subcompact.

She's no gun hobbyist, but is enthused to carry and open to the notion of needed practice on occasion. She's a runt who used to like to tote a 1911 gun. Now she carries this Model 642 configured so and with +P 158 grain ammo. She most often carries in her purse (even back when she toted the .45 automatic) and I don't like that, but don't have much influence there.

My 60+ better half carries a G19 OWB or belly band. She's a lefty, and kind of sinister. On the farm we went for almost nightly walks and worked I out our defensive positions. That was pretty easy, we walk so we can hold hands and still have our strong side free!

She carries a Shield 9 or Walther PPS M2. I wouldn't want to face her, she's a crack shot!

My wife does not carry, but she does keep a Sig P320 compact in the car.
I sent her to a gun store that I trust and told her to go shopping. I did not make any suggestions as I wanted her to buy something she liked, not what I like.

My wife will have nothing to do with it?
Almost had her convinced once but she never went through with it to get her permit. I wanted her to at least do that in case anything ever happened to me so that she could legally carry what I had!

My wife has recently started carrying more often. She carries a S&W 642 38+p with crimson laser grip. She carries appendix in Remora holster currently and just before heading off to deer camp, she was on line to order a belly band. She also purse carries a litte bit. But really need a better holster for lurse carry than the uncle mikes she has.

I am seeiously thinking of getting her a concealment express j-frame tuckable holster as well.

She has a safari speed loader and I think we will order a speed strip or two and see how she likes them. As it is difficult to hid a traditional speed loader in the pocket of her jeans!

We live in Marylandistan....very, very, very few are allowed to carry.

However the better half is the proud owner of a .22 cal, a .380, and a 1911 .45 cal. !!!

BTW - shoots them all equally well.

Depends on the weather and daily attire. Mostly a Sig P938, but sometimes a M&P9c or a Springfield 1911 in 45ACP. She is usually in the top 3 shooters at our Bullseye competition with her 45 and a Gunsite graduate. She out shoots me most of the time.

On the job I had a "sinister" partner, we tore up practicle exersises together, never once had to ask or coordinate.

Lets see myself, wife, 6 children, lawyer, father-in-law, trusted employee, family doctor, three neighbors. In random order: M640, M640, M49, M642, M442, C****** A*** Bulldog, Pitbull, R**** LCR .38, .357, .327, LC9, Mark I (and can put 10 shots into a quarter sized hole with it) B******* BDA, K****** 9, 1911...

My wife CCs a 9mm Shield w/ the safety. She's shot quite a few different models and likes full size 1911s and the Shield. Not shocking that most people without huge mitts prefer single stacks.

After elbow surgery, I decided I needed a new, lightweight gun. My wife told me I'd have to get rid of a gun to get another one. I took my 4 inch Model 629 to the gun show and made a swap with quite a bit of boot for me for a Taurus 85SSUL2 (since loaned to my older daughter). When I got home I showed her my new little stainless-looking gun. She asked, "What did you trade for it?"

"Well," says I, "I traded off the 629 and got this little gun and a bit of money."

"Don't throw numbers at me," she says. "Which gun was it you traded off?"

"The big 4 inch stainless .44 revolver," I replied, thankful she didn't ask how much money.

"You traded off MY GUN?" she almost shouted. (Ladies never shout. They just speak emphatically.)

"Huh?" (It was the best I could do.)

"That was the gun I kept loaded on the nightstand when you were gone nights," she said accusingly. "It was loaded with those special (.44 Special) bullets."

Knowing where this was going, I laid out all my revolvers on the bed for her to pick a replacement. When she got to the S&W Model 681 that I'd just put Crimson Trace grips on, she said, "This looks pretty close to what I had."

I picked it up and the laser came on. She said, "Thanks," and I haven't held it since. So, my wife's "little gun" is a 4 inch L-frame service revolver with Crimson Trace grips loaded with +P .38's.

SHE DOESN'T HAVE A CCL

That won't stop her from packing (my idea) a 38 snub of one kind or another if going somewhere alone at night, (or if home alone while I'm away) which I strongly try and advise her NOT TO DO but you know how that goes. Over the years I've bought her many handguns/rifles/shotguns and being the gentleman I am I always take good care of them for her. Some she has even shot. :D

SMART! I remember a story about a couple who were killed because the wife had a death grip (in panic) on his strong side hand, and he couldn't get it free to draw before both were shot and killed. Changed my whole view of holding hands while walking.

For me:

PC is a 1911 mostly either of the Springfield Mil-spec flavor or Kimber Raptor. My BUG will either be a Kimber Ultra Raptor or a Colt Officers model.

For the Wife:

PC is a neon pink Kimber Ultra Raptor.

Funny thing is this raptor used to be mine, until I had my one and only ND in 47 years, and it JUST had to take out her Yak leather briefcase, the exact one she'd been waiting 18 months for. To expiate my sin, she confiscated my brand new metaloyed ultra raptor in 45acp as her own.

While I am right handed, I have trained the past 47 years to be proficient with my weapons in either hand. This comes in handy on the days she likes to express her love in public by holding my hand.

She has a G-23 carried in a coach bag in the winter and an LCP the rest of the year.

Yes for the last 38 years. The first night we met, I told her I will show you mine if you show me yours!! She was carrying SW 36- prob same age as her, 5 years after she switched to a Colt Officers model in 45 ACP, about 5-7 years ago she switched to a Custom Colt Officers, Cera-cote, Night Sights, excellent trigger, with a carry melt. She feeds it Ranger 230+p. Be Safe,

My bride of 44 years carries a Ruger LCP with the laser. She has problems racking a semi so this was the best option. She tried everything out there several years ago and settled on this. I carry an LCP with extra mags although at certain times I may carry a Springfield XDM 40.

My wife went through the class to get her CCW but never followed through with it. She has a Lady Smith Model 60-14 loaded with SB Gold Dot .38 for the home. I have been trying to get her to take some classes and carry but so far, no luck. She works as our church secretary and is often there all alone. We just got alarms and camera's installed and a buzzer on her door. Used to be able to just walk into her office without her even knowing ahead of time.

RM380 in a pocket holster (possibly Blackhawk). She didn't like the DeSantis or Uncle George holsters I used before she appropriated the Remington to replace a Taurus 85 and went out and shopped for her own. The slide is easy enough for her to rack even with arthritic hands and she puts a full magazine in the 9 ring point shooting at 10 yards. I'm content.
