I did for a long time. And when the state quarters came out we filled a book with them. I kept all the extras. the missus filled out a couple more books, I think shes doing one for each grandkid.

We did the lincoln pennies books from what she had and I had in a mason quart jar from my metal detecting hobby years ago.

She cataloged all the quarters and tons of pennies for more coin collector folders.

When I metal detected I had a quart mason jar 1/2 full of silver coins, when it got to 18 times face value I sold it. A couple of hundred bucks in the early 80's was a good haul, yep bought a gun.

I only need a small container, because whatever's accumulated that week goes into the collection plate along with the regular donation.

I have a 5 gallon water jug half full of pennies.

My 5 gallon water jug is about 3/4 full of pennies. I'm hanging on to them because I figure copper prices will skyrocket some day.

So long as you realize that 1982 and newer pennies are only copper plated zinc. If you want copper (95%) save only pre 1982 cents.

I've got pill bottles full of nickels and dimes.

I've got gallon milk jugs and coffee cans full of pennies.

I ought to get one of the cheap machines from Office Max.
