Does anyone here own a phillips screwdriver?

I read the entire thread to see if anyone mentioned the lapping compound. I've been using this tip for many years, even found one of my fastener supply companies sell a tube of grit paste just for this use.

I have read toothpaste works for this too.

I use the Arthur Tip screwdriver fashioned from the "A" off an old typewriter. It comes in two varieties. Upper case and lower case

Wet the tip and dip it in comet or any brand you choose. Works great.

I have a few and buy the ones I find at yard sales and flea markets.

Even made an adaptor so I could use 1/4in hex bits.


BTW , my CZ-75s all came with Phillips screws holding the grip panels on. They got replaced.

If so then my skrewdriver has 2 plussies and 2 minisies in one handel.
Great skrewdriver for fixin' on guns.

I have many Phillips screwdrivers. I remember when the Phillips screws started to be more common, they were a big improvement over the slotted kind.
Regarding the Yankee: This will allow you to use any bit in a Yankee screwdriver.
