I can't believe how popular these cups and ice chests have gotten, it seems like everybody has one now. I thought they were overrated and overpriced but I bought a couple of mugs anyway when the local gun store had the 32 ounce tumblers for $35 a piece. They're a good product but they're not any better insulated than some of the other cheap mugs we already had. We've had these Yeti's for a year or so now and they don't show any scratches so the steel is fairly high grade but I won't be buying anymore of them at that price. I guess I'm just a bit surprised so many people have the disposable income to buy them and especially the $350 ice chests. I never had any trouble with the cheap Coleman or Igloo ice chests from Walmart.

I have a Yeti tumbler that was given to me as a gift, it is very nice. I bought a RTIC cooler before they were sued by Yeti, just about the same quality and design at half the price. The RTIC will keep ice longer and beer colder then any cheap cooler that I have ever used. I still can't see paying the high price for a Yeti

I do know that the Yeti coolers hold ice for several days. But in my entire life, I have only needed a cooler to use for several days a handful of times and then I was able to spend $2 for a new bag of ice when needed. Those coolers cost me about $30. I can buy lots of extra bags of ice before it reaches the Yeti price.

I don't.

One of my cousins is a Yeti, though.

Don't own a Yeti or any cooler or mug.

Actually I'm lying. I do own one Walmart cooler that I use to make beer. Otherwise I don't have a use for them

In my world, it's way too expensive for a cooler. I can think of much better ways to spend my $$$$. In fact, I don't know anyone that owns a Yeti cooler.

Yes..I do not own a Yeti mug or cooler.... I do own the wal-mart carried brand of the same type mug...:D it holds ice in tact for up to 10 hours indoors and 8 hours outdoors on the golf course...plenty good for my use... why spend Yeti money when you don't really need to........

Best thing we ever found for keeping things cool in elk camp was a fire shield one of the guys brought (he was a Fire Captain).

I've brought 50 quarts of frozen fish back from Mexico to L.A. in 100+ degree weather in an igloo sealed with duct tape. It was an 12+ hour trip due to flight issues in Mazatlan.

Last summer, we brought 125+ pounds of frozen halibut back from Kenai to Seattle==took 15+ hours (8 to the airport, 6 for security and flight, 5 back home from airport, including meals, shuttle to parking, etc). Used one Styrofoam chest and one Coleman ice chest.

We leave in 2 weeks to go back to Kenai. Packing old clothes in 2 Coleman ice chests and one suitcase==trashing the old clothes in Anchorage on the way back.

Just repaired a 100 qt Igloo. The hinges broke and I got new hinges on Amazon ($9)=found out Ace Hardware had them cheaper.

I see several different styles and sizes of SS Yeti cup knockoffs in the $7-$12 price range. Probably just as good as the real thing. Just how long does someone need to keep a single drink hot or cold that that I should pay $30+ for a Yeti cup? We have several double walled 16 ounce plastic cups which serve the purpose, and for less than 10% of the price of a Yeti.

A 20+ YO Coleman plastic ice chest has always met any need we have for an ice chest. But then we don't go on week-long camping or fishing trips far away from any sources of ice.

Why would a Rolex be better than a Timex if all you need is something to tell the time instead of a piece of jewelry with snob appeal?

We have two of the Yeti 10oz Lowball and two 20oz Tumbler. Had them for quite a while.

They keep coffee hot for a remarkably long time.

I had a Hydro flask before Yetis were cool I'll stick with it. As for the coolers I drink it faster than the ice will melt anyway I do not own one.
