Does anyone recognize this spring?

I found it on my workbench. I do not know for certain that it is from my Smith revolver. I most recently had the sideplate off my new-to-me 625-8, but only to inspect and only had the hammer block out. The only other gun I've disassembled was my Ruger Mark ll pistol, and normal field stripping of my 1911. All guns are functioning fine.

Good call. I bet the previous owner replaced it and it fell out of the bag with the papers and such in it. Thank you

I can stop combing the shag carpet finally......

does look like the FP return spring from an MIM model gun.
