Does anyone remember Jade east, english leather and brut cologne

I quit using colognes decades ago, but remember those you mention. English Leather would have been my preferred. I still like a bit of aftershave every once in a year or two, and like Clubman Pinaud or the classic Old Spice. Aftershave is less lingering than cologne and lets me know if I did a good job shaving my face.

Jade East.. The perfect fluid for your Zippo lighter:eek::eek::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::D:D

Hai Karate and Coty Musk...plus the above, of course.

All my Dad ever wore was Mennen Afta. I use it on occasion, but what I really like now is Stetson.

I remember a girl I dated in high school that was fond of the Jovan Musk I'd buy with my employee discount at the drugstore I worked at. Stetson is the only stuff I have on hand right now, I got two free samples when I bought some Carhartt shorts and shirts last year.

Back in my sportin' days....

Brut was my favorite. It was pretty strong so you only needed a bit. I do remember Jade East, but never tried it. I had or had access to English Leather, but it wasn't my favorite.

That Hai Karate was some awful stuff. It was the commercials that sold it.:) Did you know Pfizer (who make Viagra) owned Hai Karate.:D

"WHAT'S THAT AFTER SHAVE YOU'RE WEARING!?!?

I'm still an Old Spice kind of guy, though I don't use much of anything.

There was an outside contractor who took baths in Aqua Velva. You could smell him coming.

I never liked the idea of 'musk' anything. I can dish up plenty of 'musk' in a hurry of my own.

Sadly, I do remember Jade East and Brut (which still, heaven help us, is being sold). Once I was given a bottle of English Leather, and it wasn't really hideous.

Brut smells of sad, meat-market singles clubs for the desperate and middle-aged. Faintly tragic as well as nauseating. It conjures images of silk shirts open below the neck, leisure suits worn long after they were out of fashion, and gold chains.

I am so old...

English Leather & Jade East were very popular gifts for high school graduation back in the 60s. I have not used cologne or aftershave in years - many years - and do not know many that do. It apparently causes problems with allergies for some.

I'm still an Old Spice kind of guy, though I don't use much of anything.

Now that I'm older and don't need all the fou fou stuff, I'd like to wear Old Spice, but it was what my wife's father wore. He died suddenly when she was 14, and she still hasn't gotten over it. When I wear Old Spice, she tears up, so I don't wear it.
