Does anyone shoot anything other than 9mm?

I'm seeing more .380 on the ground lately, seems to be gaining interest for sure. A fellow left me shoot his P365 .380 a few weeks ago and I have to say it was very nice.

Interesting how the 380 ACP has arisen like a Phoenix as a defense option. But one needs to choose carefully from available factory loads. Hornady 90 XTP or 90 FTX Critical Defense are two good choices, based on published test results. Also Remington 88 HTP.

So, from the response you are talking hand guns?

So yeah? 22, 32/20 38, 45 acp and Colt add in 44 Russian, Spcl, and 44 Colt.
and of course, 9MM.
Then "if" you count long guns there is 30/40 Krag, 30'06, 303 Brit., 7.62×54mmR and 8x50R Lebel.
I load most, but no to 9MM and 22 of course.

I have a M&P 9 2.0, Shield Plus 9 2.0, and now an FPC 9. So no surprise that I shoot a lot of 9 mm. I also have an M&P 45 LE 2.0 and 2 AR-15s, which I enjoy shooting. My wife has the M&P 380 EZ.

And yes 9 mm is very inexpensive right now. FPC will use all of the M&P 9 mags. Didn't want to go through the expense of having to get new mags if I went the 10mm route. Besides there aren't many bears or cougars in Hotlanta.

It is illuminating to read the history of why 9 mm is so popular. It is an old round (1901), but the FBI debacle in Miami in 1986 forced further development of the 10 mm, 40 S&W, and improved 9 mm. The FBI finally adopted the 9 mm with improved terminal ballistics and that's what we have today.

I shoot 9mm, 45 ACP, and 40S&W the most in pistol calibers. I have recently started shooting 45 (Long) Colt. I inherited a load (1000+) of reloads when my brother passed over 20 years ago, and I really didn't have anything to shoot them in, minus a NIB US made 94 Trails End and a mint Ruger Super Blackhawk 3 screw in box. I really didn't want to shoot them (yeah, I know, but my guns my rules).
Long story short, last month I picked up a Rossi R92 and a Ruger New Bisley Vaquero, both in stainless steel. What fun they are to shoot.
The one caliber I hardy shoot at all if ever is .22 LR. IT just doesn't do anything for me.
My S&W wheel guns have been lonely lately too. Just they way it is. 1911's and 3rd Gen Smiths are more interesting to me now.
JMHO YMMV

shoot my coonan 357 mag. more then any other handgun that i have, fun gun to shoot and reload for so no brass left behind {other than the ones that i can not find}
Bob

I mostly use 9mm because that's what I carry. And I do leave most of the brass on the ground.... But I will not leave any .22 Jet brass!

Been shooting 9mm since the early 80’s. I saw it as a more universal round than the 45ACP. My first competition pistol was a 9mm Colt govt model. It was later replaced by a Para 45. Reload for both love both but what I carry is a plastic 9mm.

Other than 9mm for me is 38 spl, 357 mag, 40 S&W, 10mm, 44 mag, 50 AE, 500 S&W, 45 Colt, 45-70, 223, 6.5 CM, 308, 30-06, and 30 Carbine. I do load for all of them.
