Does anyone use turn signals anymore?

Some days i wonder why new vehicles still have them.
I bet it's 10 to 1 for people who turn without using them to those who do.

Is this the case in your area?

Life Long Florida Boy does that answer your question lol . But I have and always will use mine while others don't

Goggle "crazy drivers". Pay attention to the Russians. Nobody gives an inch. You will drive in fear. I got a dash cam for protection.

I drive a big 150. Bright red with lots of chrome. People don't see it. 6000# of steel, glass, and rubber. People cut me off. I signal. I watch. I have no problems letting people in front of me and I have no intention of letting road rage ruin my day. I will obey all traffic laws, right to the point that I drop it into 4wd and drive over you, then back up over you.

There are some people that use them diligently. I have an elderly neighbor that has had hers on for about 6 months. *s*

I use to howl with mocking laughter at my dad for driving along with his turn signal blinking because he could not hear the continous click. This very day, my 13 year old said with a loud, disgusted sigh “dad you have been driving with your turn signal flashing for a mile—can’t you hear the beep?”

Here in MA it is definitely the thing to do...no one uses turn signals, sign of weakness, never let anybody know where you are planning on driving.
They say we are the worst drivers in the USA....but I think NY/NJ drivers are the worst?

They have dash cams for insurance purposes.

In the area I live in turn signals are not used and Stop Sign's are ignored by almost everyone also .. Both pet peeves of mine and my wife .. Have even seen the local LEO's in their police cars fail to stop and have observed them to be in the position to see violators and do nothing ..

Sadly the practice of not stopping has cost the lives of several people in the tri county area I live in .. Just 3 or 4 weeks ago another young woman with a small child in the car ignored a Stop Sign and was hit broad side and she was killed instantly .. the child was injured but survived .. about a year ago a 16 year old ran a stop sign killing 2 people ..

As someone posted earlier turn signals, particularly on high end luxury cars, are an option that most people don't purchase or don't know how to use.
mrmike7189, MA is not the only place it's perceived as a sign of weakness, Loop 610 in Houston is a prime example of that. hardcase60

I don't think the salesmen shows you what all those little thingeys and whatumacallits are for on cars now days. There is a lever that even dims your lights, along with lights that alert other drivers that you are about to turn. Amazing, all the features we don't know about.

Most folks around here move uncertainly - slow, wiggle left-right, then swing way right, brake, put on left turn signal after starting their move into a left turn.
I never figgered out why they need that wide feint to the right before a left turn. Sometimes when I was to their right in the parallel lane, I thought they were going to clip my fender. They can't all be former tractor-trailer drivers. Besides, a Prius or VW bug isn't long enough to warrant that move.

I've been to Boston serval times on business trips and "trust" me, to use a turn signal is a sign of WEAKNESS. Heck, I once had to see about taking a cab back to the airport. The cabbie told me he didn't want "the challenge"! :D:D

They still use hand signals in Boston, usually one involving the middle fanger. ;)
