Iron Butterfly was the first rock group I ever saw in concert. They were awesome.

The Iron Butterfly theme is criminally underrated and rarely heard. It's a as fine a piece of rock music as there is.

I saw them when I was 17. A raucous good time with the exhaust fans laboring.

After a few hundred time listening to the extended version I now fast forward past the 2 1/2 minute drum solo.

I got to see them play a club back in the '80s. The drum solo was incredible.

One of my favorites back in my hollywood days. Ingle was drunk when he wrote the song and instead of saying "In The Garden Of Eden", which was the name of the song, and said "In A Gadda Divida." That was the best he could do after he drank a copious quantity of cheap wine.
