Due to their laws, only about 6 people in that state have firearms and even they are not allowed to have useful ammunition.
Minimal chance of the drones being shot down.
May be looking for Hoffa.

If they want to know about life in NJ wasn't their a couple of TV shows devoted to that.
Wasn't there a similar outbreak of drone sightings several months, maybe even a year ago, somewhere in the west / mid-west that also caused a lot of hand wringing?

If these drones are legal to fly, according to WH spokesperson, then why aren't they registered with the FAA? If they are were we should be able to find out their flight plans and reason for flying. Do you really trust the government telling you the truth?

These things are pretty big in size. I don't think I'd want to shoot them down and have them randomly falling out of the sky in urban areas. They could do a lot of damage or even kill people.
I also understand that these things are flying at 1000-2000 feet. Makes it kinda hard to take them down with ground fire.
With aircraft there's also the problem with shooting them and having lead rain falling all over the place.
I'm wondering if the government whiz kids can overpower their radio controls and force them to land?
Why not hang nets under helicopters and just go snag the things?

I still have no doubt it's our government/military testing our border integrity with low flying object not being detected. I would think our military would have shot one down if they thought it might pose a threat.
Low flying object can normally come in under the radar. That's how we got into Iran during the hostage crisis, as I recall.
I'm also sure we have the technology to track the radio signal controlling the drones.
Sooner or later we'll find out what's going on.

As has been previously noted here, the government knows EXACTLY who they are, who is operating them, and why. Whether it be a foreign power or our own government, someone at some levels knows.
Now, what happens if someone shoots one of these down? It could very easily have a self destruct device onboard...if that was/is the case the results would be "most unfortunate".
We've had satellites in orbit for decades whose cameras can zero in on a Russian soldier in Siberia making a pit stop behind a tree...you think they can't zero in on these things?

FBI says there may not be any drones at all. Ya'll just seeing things that aren't there.
