Drop ceiling for Rimfire nuts ~~~

I dont know if I am losing it or what.
I have run out of room in the safe for my rimfire rifles that I have been using alot more these days.
I had several in the utility closet with the mop/brooms and vacuum. I dont like them in there, Too much going on for these mostly old .22s
Well I have this small powder room which is off my office which gets used about 2x a year by me, And that is only when I have company and need another bathroom quick.
I am aware that use of hot water could = rusty guns. But 2 flushes a year I dont thing will hurt anything.
The room is 52" square.
I keep an cabinet of movies and gun cleaning/repair stuff in there too.
Well, 2 pieces of 2x4s and a few screws.
I now have a drop ceiling that I actually will find interesting!
My office is heated and cooled along with the rest of the house, I've never had rust issues with the others for the past 15 years I've been here. And my safe has no goldenrod or the like.
So enough chat.

I will be adding a lock to the door this week,
I dont know why, I never had a lock on the broom closet.
I think the powder room is looking better now.
Or do I have too many loose screws?

Thats an interesting idea. If it works thats all that matters.

I have a friend in Montana who out grew his gun room and he made racks in the floor joists of his basement. My favorite joist was the one where he had his M14's stored. Must have had 3 or 4 of them up there. None of them had the happy switch though.

JKC,
I believe the one you are asking about is an ERMA/Iver johnson US Carbine.22LR
The stock and gun looks just like an M1 Carbine.

Looks cool but, being from Kaliforniastan, I cringe when I see that because I instantly think of picking them all up and looking for what's been damaged after an earthquake.

Nice collection of .22's I have a couple of 10-22's. Have been thinking of adding a nice BA .22; maybe a CZ. At this time I think a good .22 rifle is a best buy.

The idea ain't bad. I'd be a little concerned with just those toe-nailed screws holding the weight of the guns. Might be worth adding some joist hangers under the 2x4s.

I weigh 170, I hung from each one of them before I started hanging the rifles... But a set of joist hangers may be on the list when I get a lock for the door.
And thanks, I always thought I had a few loose screws.
I have a tough time choosing which couple come out to the range!
The Rem 12As are a lot of fun!

CHROME, Trigger guard/ front post hood as well.
I got it this way and with open sights on the 75 yard range grouped 3" or so, I wonder what it will do when I am used to it or if it had a scope.
It is just a neat rifle chrome or not.
