Drought is over!

I'm in Alabama and haven't seen the first box. My family and I have been first in line almost every time at stores across 5 counties. Sure wish I could find this ammo you say we have.

Careful there

SublimeHunting.com - Camping, Hunting, and Hiking Supplies might not be Legitimate web store if anyone has used this site before and received their merchandise please let me know.

I ran across that site and posted in another forum. Learned through others and my own research that website has only existed since dec 2012 and is using images that do not belong to them. The consensus on the other site is either not is the US or a scam.

Managed to stop today by the only Walmart even remotely close to me (10miles past my work and 35 miles from my house). If by "Drought is over" you mean there is availability of 280, 270, 343, 7mm rem mag, 300 rem mag, then yes its over

When it comes to Walmart. You have to be standing there when they roll it out. Even then you may be 5th-20th in line and still not get what you want.
Everyone seems to want 22lr more than anything.
Btw. South is where Walmart rules. I guess they are givin the love back. Lol
It could be location from different distribution center/ammo supplier. I really don't know. :-/

Some Walmarts in Georgia not seeing much ammo. Random stocking times and thieves in the stock rooms in my neck of the woods.

I've always wondered about that. Are store employees allowed first pick, or do they have to wait like everyone else? I was at Gander Mountain a couple months ago and asked about a G19. The sales rep said they just got one in and that he bought it. Didn't even make it to the display case. :(

If I worked at Wal-Mart you could be sure I'd figure out what was coming in a head of time and try to snag it. I'm just being honest here. There has to be some perks to working at Wal-Mart.

Now if people were buying it ahead of time and reselling it for a profit, now I have a problem with that.

I haven't seen any hard to find mags lately. I have seen things like a 10/22 rifle and 9mm ammo lately though so that's a good sign.

Bunch of 15 round .40 mags here yesterday at $37.99 each.

I just checked Wal Mart in S

How come Walmarts in the south get ammo but we don't see any up here?

Is the ammo produced or distributed in the south so they just sell it off close to home to save shipping?

All the Walmarts around me have not had any ammo at all. The sporting department managers have told me they get zero, even though it is on order.

I'm in SC and they didn't have anything and told me if I hung around opening time a few days I might get a chance at some. Other than that forget it.

The "drought" will not end until the proposals by anti-second amendment politicians are finally stopped and/or whatever laws they manage to get passed are finalized. As long as they continue their rhetoric, the associated speculation and uncertainty will continue to fuel paranoia, which in turn will drive sales. It's the Obama/Biden Firearms and Ammo Stimulus Program! Since no one knows for sure what, or how many, how much, etc. they will be able to get, and beyond any doubt the anti-gun zealots will continue to push their Statist agenda, enough people will continue to hoard ammo and buy whatever guns and mags they believe will be banned. Either because they want them to have them, or to re-sell at a profit. When the laws are finalized the "drought" will subside. Then the illegal black market trade/sales of previously legal items will begin. Criminals will still get what they want, just as they do now. What a waste!

Depends on the Walmart store. We had a guy get fired after worki a Walmart for like 10-15 years because he was buying ammo and reselling for a profit. So be careful if you are an employee.

Btw. My buddy got 2 bricks of 22LR for 20.00 each at our Walmart yesterday. And a colt AR15 sat in the display case for over 12 hours the other day! I see AR15s at every gun store now!
It's getting better, but a loong way to go :-)
