Emotional Support Hamster Cruelly Flushed

Cruelty to animals is a punishable offense, and I have seen felony charges with large fines and time behind bars result.
So we have a college girl admitting to a cruel and stupid act. I just think something doesn't add up. And if she has chosen this as her 15 minutes of fame, well, poor choice. Maybe the piercings are poisoning her system and impairing her thinking.

The Bronze Age...

Hence my forum name...... there's no lack of opportunity to use it in this world. :D

The Iron Age, The Machine Age, The Jet Age, The Space Age, The Digital Age...... The Idiot Age. I liked it when we were optimistic about future progress and accomplishments but the wheels have come off.

They can't stop you.....

when did service animals become lumped in with ''emotional support'' animals?
i guess i can now take my kitty with me on a plane, but that wouldn't be fair to allergic people.

Go ahead, if they stop you they are trampling on your rights. Might make you some money and at least get a news story about it.

You know how kids act up when they want attention? A lot of adults (chronologically that is) are in the same state. Kids crying because they want something.

If we acted up like that as kids we got negative attention, in a hurry. and plenty of it. Kind of made you think that the crybaby act was't such a good idea.

Yep, cruelty is right. Instead of flushing she could of turned it loose inside the pizza vendor. " OK fluffy, there is plenty of food here and lots of hiding places... I'll be back in a week to get you." Bye Bye!

Yes you can bring your cat if you get "papers" from a Doctor that you need the animal for emotional support.

What is so ironic (stupid) about this case is that if the girl had such emotional issues that she needed an animal (any animal) what kind of emotion stress occurred when she killed it by flushing it (Hence the stupid lawsuit)

If it was so traumatic she should have just left the airport and saved her poor little rodent, maybe call her Mommy? Give it to someone??

With her flight boarding soon, she pondered whether to just let Pebbles free outside. She said she considered it more humane to end her life right away, and not let her run around scared in the cold, only to die getting hit by a car.
"I didn't have any other options," she said.

The article is so full of "mush" its enough to make a person sick! Such trauma and drama!:rolleyes:

The best solution out there! Pebbles could have lived a long, happy, well fed life!:D

Just think if she had attached a "Tile" tracker to Pebbles she could have found it when she returned.

If this doesn't make you cry, nothing will!!:D
