Ever buy a gun you didn't like ...& keep it?

Norinco 9mm. Chinese copy of a Russian copy of a Browning 1903? Frigging ugly, and the smith I talked to said he would replace the safety but it would fall out soon just like the original did. Can't hit anything less than 12"dia on a reliable basis at any distance further than 15'. But it has never had a FTF. I keep it @ the bedside and at least I may scare the carp outta a burglar and get the chance to secure the family.

Years ago I bought an SKS for $99.00. This was before Clinton fracked down on imports.

Bought a couple cases of ammo too.

Took it to the range once.

It's been taking up space in the safe since.

Nothing wrong with it: just doesn't interest me.

Bought an excam single action 22 about 40 years ago.Couldnt hit a barn door from the inside with it.Dont have the heart to foist it off on anyone [emoji22]

I have a few, I look at them today setting in the safe and say to myself, Why the *^%# did you buy that?
One was a Smith CS 45, When I bought it I wanted to add another 45 to my collection, after shooting it a few times, I hated it so I gave it to my kid who returned it to me in the form of a Glock 33 .357 Sig? Now that I like! :D
But I do have a couple of rifles and two other pistols that are just taking up space! Don't know why I bought them but I won't sell them for some reason?

I had a beautiful little scoped Remington 600 in 308 Winchester. It kicked the **** out of me with every pull of the trigger. I also had a Remington 700 and a Mauser in 458 Winchester Winchester Magnum that didn't kick me anything like that 600. i still wish I had it back because it was so dang pretty, handy, and accurate.

did not exactly "buy" them...

they were collateral for a "loan" that fell apart... with a long time friend... and I haven't heard from him in a while - years... so I dumped most of them... he was a fan of big bore snubbies revolvers... I never was and did not find anyone who would... but l ended up keeping a pair... truly enjoy shooting the 45lc 5 shot ultra lite... did not expect to like it at all... the 44 mag is waiting for a friend to get the cash together... then it goes bye bye... until then... I guess I am keeping the "didn't like it gun...

SIG Mosquito .22. It belonged to my wife. She picked it out after deciding she didn't like the Ruger 22/45 I bought her.

While not as problematic as an internet search would indicate, it does have the most horrendous trigger I've had the misfortune to experience and it does have definite preferences regarding ammo. Additionally I've never been able to hit a barn with the thing.

But the wife loved it and actually could shoot it pretty well. The walnut grips are aftermarket I got for her soon after she got the gun. It sits in the safe along with her SIG 9mm.

Ruger P90 worst trigger of any handgun I've ever owned. I use it as a nightstand gun that should get me to the Mossberg 500 in the closet.

I've got a 645 that I can't warm up to. Thought I needed one, waited to find a fairly nice one, and after shooting it a couple of times, I just can't get used to it.

It's going up for sale or trade any day now, I need a ham radio base station more than I need that taking up space in the safe.

I said....none.....he said put it away....so I have!! Why??I guess because I haven't seen any....so maybe it will be worth something later!

Norinco 9mm. Chinese copy of a Russian pistol.Old as the hills and ugly as sin and the smith I asked to replace the safety said he would but it would fall out quickly just as the original did. But this pistol has never had a FTF. No matter what fodder I feed it, it always runs. Cannot be sure of hitting a 12" target @ 15 ft but will scare the heck outta someone long enough to get the Glocks, Smiths or one of the several Rugers scattered about the house, garage, vehicle. And no one wants to steal it!
Problem with the safety on that gun is that it's an afterthought for import purposes. The Tokarev never had a safety but one is needed for import

I've gotten rid of most of mine that I didn't care for. I'm not one to keep them around if it can be traded towards something else. Just traded away a HK P2000 9mm. My god I've always wanted one, finally got one but the 50lbs double action pull was horrible. It wasn't as bad at the fun store when pointing at random things and pulling the trigger but at the range when trying to make shots count it was bad.....bad and slow. I was so disappointed but it happens

I have a Cobra Derringer in 38 spcl.I bought because I liked it.
Now it just sits in the back of My Safe because unless the thing your shooting at is closer than three feet You will miss it.

Too bad you're not in Kalifornistan. You could get a pretty quid or two for that gem.

Bought an evil black rifle right before the Clinton gun ban because I thought I should have one since they were trying to ban them. I have to admit I don't like it much and don't shoot it. I hang on to it just have it I guess.

S&W Bodyguard.380. Wee bit too small, laser eats batteries like candy, has been back to Springfield to get it back into battery. Stays in the safe, but should sleep with the fishes.
