Ever buy a gun you didn't like ...& keep it?

Have never really liked my Model 67. It was not the 66 I craved and the top strap screw and ejector lug constantly loosened, just like on other stainless guns of the period, I've discovered. Yet I've put over 18,000 rounds through it and I use it to qualify for my CCW. Folks comment at those times how well I shoot with it. I know someone will snap it up if I were to sell it, so it stays.

My Bond derringer is another. I've put too much $ into it with extra bbls and it's too heavy to do anything with. I try not to look at it too hard, or I will find myself buying another bbl for it. I have a Forum buddy who also loves derringers, and HE doesn't want it! So it sits.

I have never bought and kept a gun I didn't like. If it aint what I expected, down the road it goes. I have been issued weapons I never would have purchased on my own if given a choice. The unreliable Colt 9mm AR subgun comes to mind.

No but I get bored with certain guns and don't shoot em for extended periods. Then out of the blue something will pop into my head... maybe a new stock, grips, night sights, whatever... and I'll be all over it like a new gun for a while. Then I'll get bored again... :D
