Me too. Like who hasn't? About 10 years ago I sold a buddy a LNIB 18-3 that shipped with magna type stocks and TT and TH. I really regretted it since I did it and I'd think about it every time I saw him. One day I ran across him at the LGS and decided I had nothing to lose. I told him that I always regretted selling it and to my amazement he said, "Well come get it!" I asked what he wanted for it and he said whatever I sold it for. I told him that I couldn't sleep at night if I didn't give him more. He said give me what you think. I tried to give him more and he insisted that I only give him 100.00 more. I went by his house tonight and he asked if I wanted the stainless one I sold him too. I had completely forgotten the other one. He said " look since you insisted on giving me more just take both of them!" I'm gonna make it right, but look what I got tonight. Good friend, good night!

I think most of us have sold or traded guns we regret,.i just traded a couple guns and am still alittle freaked out...........I traded a smith shorty 45,box etc excellent for a smith 16-4,4 in.,box etc..I'm not a big 45 guy so I can live w/ that trade.........the second trade was a 66 f-comp,box etc....for a smith 631,32 mag,4 in., 1 0f 40,box etc......not feeling so good about that trade.....guess ya gotta give up something good to get something good.

Sure do. 4 inch , 6 inch , 8/38 inch 27-2's ... Nickel and a blue 6.5 inch and two 4 inch 29-2's from the early to mid 70's. several 28's 19's 66's and 586's. two 36's. 645-1006,624,57's etc. 1911 fever can do that to a person.Crying now!

I had a plug ugly 2" model 15 with a matte blue frame and barrel but everything else was chromed. That was the best shooting revolver I have ever owned! I paid around $200.00 for it and sold it for about the same. I wish I could find it and buy it back.

Before I was interested in Cowboy Action shooting I had a 627 PC V comp. and a 360 PD that I traded for some Cowboy guns. Big mistake! I was able to replace the 627 with a model close to it; but not the same. I did replace the 360 PD with a M&P 340. Just not as good as what I originally had.

Every single one I ever parted with, except for three. I bought my daughter a 642 that had the lock...I did not keep it a week. The second was a 1076, the design of the decocker irked me and I never shot it well, so I traded it. The last was a K22, I did not care for it at all.

I had a like new Model 53, with 8 3/8" bbl, that I had returned to the factory to have the extra .22 lr cylinder fitted. After having it a couple of years I sold it while stationed in Alaska in 1971......would sure like to have it back!!

Yeah, a 5" 1950 .44 Military. Dunno what the heck I was thinking.

25 years ago I traded into a pre-29 4" with the box and tools for about 250.00. I called a LGS and told them what I had and the clerk put the phone down and I heard him yell to his boss who wanted me to bring it in and he would give me 200.00 for it. Another LGS told me it was a fake that had been altered. I eventually called a fellow in Florida who collected registered magnums who told me what I had. I sold it for 1400.00 but I sure wish I had it now. It was not a fake and I have never done business with the two shops that tried to cheat me again.

Yes . . . but not just the S&W's. Almost every gun I ever sold, I regret selling. When I think back on some of the beautiful guns I let go for one reason or another I just shake my head. Of course there were a few dogs that I'm glad are gone though. Live and learn.
