every day carry knife brand?

Leatherman Juice S2, but I rarely use the knife on it. CRKT SPEW on the belt.

I have a bunch I rotate weekly. I since retired always carry two every day. ( Work years always one lock blade ). Now it's a slip joint front pocket and lock in rear. Sog, Swiss, Buck, Gerber, Case . Been really hitting the Case knifes up last four years both lockbladed , and slip

This is the only one carried every day.

An old and heavily carried Spyderco Civilian which I modified to tip up carry and used zip ties to improve a Emerson wave opening. Front right pocket every day.

These are the carried on a belt and the most popular and carried by me one. Those are most popular out of quite a few in the collection.

Merry Christmas to all of you! I just wanted to say thanks, for all the replies and people taking the time to post photos; of their knives. It is interesting to see what people like, from cheap to expensive. Mike

I would bet more than half of the knives mentioned in this thread are over $200 at online, discounted sources. Some more. Only 4 times what the OP said he wanted to spend.

But I still like looking at them all!

The OP's first question is "what knife do you carry everyday?" Later in his post he says "Lets keep it under $50"

So is he looking for "recommendations" under $50 or what we carry in the real world?????

My (post #37) EDC IIRC is about $150-160 on Amazon..... weekend "work" Knife is $50ish

Used to collect fine knives and got to a ridiculous point in quantity and value. Cut way back and concentrated some funds on firearms.

My main EDC is a Chris Reeve Sebenza Insingo. It has a very useful blade shape and is a great slicer. When I want something a little beefier, I pocket the Hinderer XM18 3" slicer. Also carry an old friend in the Spyderco Native 5 as it is also a great slicer and my go to when I think I could lose a knife for whatever reason.

I would ask him not me!

But no matter, I still like looking at them all whether they are $2 or $2000!

I've carried a lot of off brand,Chinese made knives that are great:

Artisan Cutlery
Real Steel
Steel Will (USA but most of the low cost stuff is Chinese)
Ganzo/Firebird
Stedmon

Then things like Boker,Cold Steel,Spyderco and such right now I'm using an automatic Boker AK knife.
Lot of good ones to be had for under $50 if you look and aren't a snob of some sort,a few of the above go over fifty but not by much like seventy bucks but to me under a hundred is still a good price for a knife.

I know ZeroTolerance makes a great knife but usually costly. Again have been very satisfied with the Sog Trident Tanto. Blade is 3 3/4 which is decent.

Another entry for Kershaw, but only USA made Kershaws - Not Chinese.

My edc is a Kershaw Blur Tanto (I have 3 of various configs)...
Kershaw Blur | Tanto Assisted Opening Knife - Black (Serrated)

I also sometimes rotate my Kershaw Needs Work into the mix...
Kershaw Needs Work Assisted Opening Knife 1820 (3" Bead Blast) - Blade HQ

My "dress knife" is a Benchmade Apparition (love this knife!)...
Benchmade Apparition Pardue/Osborne Zytel Handle Assisted Liner Lock - KnifeCenter - BM670P - Discontinued

EDIT: Per the op's criteria, I guess the only one of mine that fits is the Needs Work. Although I did get all 3 of the Blur's for right around $50 but the blade is a little over 3" (3.375") - Great knife! Couldn't help but to post the Benchmade, I love that knife! ANY and ALL of the Benchmade's are way over $50 though!

Don’t you hate it? Restaurants always discontinue your favorite appetizer. Knife companies do the same with the knives you like.

I've never had any experience with that blade type, does it have a special purpose? It seems like it would be super awkward for most tasks.

The Civilian was designed for a federal agency, DEA IIRC, that wanted an instinctive slash and run type of defensive knife that didn't need for a person to be expert with a knife. Like a serrated straight razor and ultra fine tip for cutting flesh. The Reverse S design conforms to the curves on arms and body do when contact is made most all of the blade if not all of the blade is in contact with flesh.

I have always seen that called a karambit. Some people will insist they have utility applications, but the main purpose is to shred flesh. Big win if you can slash an assailant’s femoral artery. In jurisdictions that draw a distinction between “weapons” and “tools”, you will probably have some ‘splaining to do.

US Mil issue Benchmade Auto. It is the standard auto but the handle serrations were unique for the Military only design.

EDC knife

I carry an auto every day, and have for many years. Current inventory L to R; Bushmaster Tactical/Rescue, Boker Kalish., Piranha Bodyguard, Gerber Covert, Protech Godson.

Two...first is a Gerber ultra-light, and a Fallkniven, carried so I won't lose it again.
