Every day for this entire year I will post a old school printed gun advertisement.

And some from a 2000 and 2004 Guns and Weapons for Law Enforcement.

Am I the only one trying to keep this going? Another for the Milsurp lovers!

I think I've posted a few..........albeit not as old as your ads.

Here's a couple from a 1981 Australian Gun magazine.

My favorite ads... the Ruger vs S&W war.

Opening shot from Ruger:

S&W's response:

My cousin being a big Ruger DA revolver fan at the time, and me being a S&W fan, had a friendly rivalry going.

When the Ruger ad came out, he never missed an opportunity to needle me about my skinny "anorexic" S&W.

When the S&W response ad came out, I took to hiding those little take out ketchup packets you get at fast food places in his range bag whenever we went to the range.

Great fun to get home and find a message on my answering machine from him cussing me out for those packets.

Glad to see others chiming in with advertisements. I thought this was a worthwhile thread when it first started. Lets keep it up. The Moderators may want to think of making this thread a sticky. Lots of history here.
