Everybody has one, why not show them?...J-Frames

Somehow I slept through this thread until now. Ordinarily I jump in sooner than this.

The second S&W I ever bought: a 649-5. I have never had the nerve to shoot .357s in it, but it is fine with .38 Special. I got the ebony stocks off Ebay to dress it up a little. I still may not be done with it. I'm thinking about a Tritium Big Dot Front sight and maybe some thicker boot grips.

I have some small frame S&Ws, but most of them are I-frames. The modern Js are fine guns, but they just don't sing to me the way the older I-frames do.

These are some incredible J frames here and they aren't specific to the date range. I would like to see this thread run across all date categories if that is possible. Maybe just make it a notable index thread in all all 4 categories of hand ejectors. Mods? Any way to do this?

Always wanted one. I used to read a Nelson Demille novel series where his main character carried one as his back up. And it was indeed a Smith & Wesson. So I acquired one and love it and would never give it up.

I wish I had a picture of my Model 632 Airweight "Centennial." That H&R .32 Magnum cartridge, loaded properly, can really make a 2" barrel stand up and perform a tap dance!

Life is good.

Very interesting and good looking grips! Who made them?

Thanks,
Danny
I got them from an ebay seller in Asia - I think Taiwan.

They didn't fit as well as I would have liked when I first got them, but a bit of scrubbing/sanding/whittling/shaping on the inside and they fit just fine.

For now at least, they're a nice compromise between room for my hand and concealment.
