EXP Primers

As long as they don't let the Government get in their back pockets or
send supply's to the war effort, and just sell to the major stores, I think we might have a chance at getting back to normal.

I just hope the new owner is not connected to the Major primer companies, in any way
so we might get a fair shake on primer prices.

Hope they get all the legal stuff taken care of and let the presses roll.

It scares me that the company has already changed hands. I have a bad feeling they are going to be in bed with the rest of the companies who produce and sell primers because they are those companies.

I felt much better when a private person with investors owned the company, not some unnamed "entity. "

I remember reading something to the effect that EXP had already cut deals to sell all of its first year of primer production to the custom commercial reloaders. I was betting EXP was a smoke and mirrors scam. Maybe not. Does anyone have more information or rumors about its changing hands?

Fiocchi is supposed to be opening a new primer manufacturing facility in Little Rock, all those primers will be lead free. I haven’t seen any recent information about it. Fiocchi to Expand Arkansas Operations with a New Primer Factory -The Firearm Blog

Who is this guy? And why should I believe anything he says? It seems to me that if I wanted to give my investors a "proof of life", I'd find a YouTuber with more than 9 thousand subscribers. Or better yet, maybe I'd send some primers to someplace like the American Rifleman so that they could talk it up. I'm sure the whole EXP saga exists but I'm thinking this might be some click bait. I hope I'm wrong.

Thanks for the info, but until I see those primer on my local store shelves at a reasonable price and the other primer mfg. have to lower their prices to compete if they even care to try, it means nothing. Competition and flooding the market with options is the only way the current state of affairs as it relates to primers is going to change. Honestly, I still don't think prices will ever go back down to what they were in late 2020.

Much gun-related material on YouTube is erroneous, worthless, and often lacks editing. I guess it's up to the viewer to decide on this one, but I think it's obvious the host said nothing. "Proof of life" (now apparently a popular Internet term) with clandestine primers the host received from a secret source?

Not being a regular YouTube watcher and enthusiast, I'm unaware of this guy's credentials. He may be well known and have many followers and his other YouTube segments may be credible and of some value.

What a cynical bunch we are. And with good reason I suppose.
Im betting that whoever started this venture started it with ine thing in mind, money. As such wull be looking to di what everyine ekse does; maximize their investment. Im betting that it had nothing to do with providing primers to reloaders at a reasonable price.
I hope Im wrong but given the state of humanity today there is a decent chance Im not.

Much (insert your topic here) material on YouTube is erroneous, worthless and lacking editing. There are exceptions, Forgotten Weapons and 9 Hole Reviews come to mind, but you have to search for them. This guy made a video at his picnic table with a brush pile, some old pallets and an old TV in the background. I haven't looked at any of his other videos but it's a bit hard to take him too seriously. Again, I don't know much about this companies situation, but if this is part of their business model, I wouldn't go making space on my bench for their primers just yet.

Maybe check with reputable businesses that occasionally have primers - companies like Target Sports, Powder Valley, and many others.

I suppose I'm more of a glass half full kinda guy.

I used to be too but have learned by repeatedly being proven wrong that many to most people today don't give a darned about nothing or nobody but for themselves. And money, being the root of all evil, grips peoples minds like drugs do.

I contacted a small manufacturer that I know in NC. He (and another small ammo maker) was one of the early investors in Expansion. Once I saw the update video I hit him up for some details. The new owners paid back the original investors (perhaps just the smallest ones?), so he got his money back "a month or so ago" and was informed that primers would begin shipping in late Spring. It's his followup comment that gave me the most concern..."But amazingly they started producing ammo and was trying to sell it dirt cheap, made us really wonder what was going on."

In the end, something did happen...primers were produced. Then ammo was produced...which is what Expansion Industries was originally established to do. Whether the original investors who no longer have skin in the game actually receive commercial primers remains to be seen. It doesn't bode well for reducing retail primer prices in the near future.

A morning news "Person" went on line to buy some super sox, that she liked
at a real good price and ended up finally getting a "Almost" pak of sox's
that were very inferior, in materials.

Another lady spent the money and never got the sox !!

They are out there, people........... be very careful with who you deal with.

Dual Wield Supply, 209 Wild Lilac, Irvine CA, 92620 claims to have had the primers but is now sold out.

I did some further checking on this company. On the surface it seems legit' and as of this moment is in good standing with the Calif. Sec State. The company registered in 2021 and uses, as noted, a residential address for the business location which to me, gives reason to pause. I think I'll try calling the number listed and see if they pick up.
