Hello I have found a 66-2 for sale locally with 4" barrel with box and papers in very good condition. What would be a fair value for this gun. Not sure if this would be a pre-lock gun or not, but the 66 is definately on my short list. Thanks in advance for the help. :)

Greetings!

I recently saw a 4" 66-2 at a local gun show with rubber (after-market) grips and no box for a $500 asking price. I looked to be in good shape but it had been used some.

The 66-2 does not have the lock.

I have a 66-3 w/box, original grips, and paper in solid good plus condition, but it has been shot and carried some - used, but not abused (other than sitting dirty in a box for a couple of years) - I paid $350, which I think was a pretty good deal.

I'd say in the condition you describe getting it in the $400s would be a good deal, in the $500s a fair deal.

This one I found, has an asking price of over $500, which I expected was on the higher end of the spectrum.

my M66-3 in 98% condition w/ no box or paperwork asking price was $450.00 6 months ago.

Paid $400 OTD this year for a 66-2, 4inch no box or others goodies, clean, very good (90%) condition, tight, with wide hammer and trigger. Grips good need oil rub only. Worth $500. What you described is IMO priced too high.

60-3

I JUST BOUGHT ONE APRIL 19TH I PAID 369.00 @ A PAWN SHOP NO BOX OR PAPERS. IN GREAT SHAPE VERY TIGHT WHEEL. I WOULD PUT THIS @ ABOUT 95%. WHEN I SAW THAT PRICE I LOOKED @ IT, I TOLD THE SELLSMAN SOLD WRAP IT UP.
