Favorite Beers?

Boulevard 80 Acre
Boulevard Amber
Alaska Amber
New Glarus Spotted Cow
Sol
Busch Light
Plus many others, I'm a beer lover.

Cheap is PBR

We are blessed in West Michigan with some great microbrews: White Flame, Founders, and New Holland to name a few.

One of my favorite seasonal beers was just released a couple weeks ago: Bourbon County Stout from Goose Island in Chicago.

Really like the occasional bourbon barrel aged stouts and porters.

Goose Island farmhouse ale, aka saison or summer ale is excellent. Founders is good too.

Ive come to the point where if its not Belgian ales or at least IPA i won't buy it. Basically i wanna drink real beer and Bud, Miller, PBR, Corona, even Heineken aint it. Lager is way too watered down. Especially American lager

Henry Weinhard is one of my favorite beers - Kokanee is close second, but when I can - I order a Grolsch or a Heineken.
But to be honest, Jim Beam is my favorite drink for a relaxing evening surfing on the forum. ;)

I keep Dos Equis Amber (Oscura) in the house although I don't like the Dos Equis light. Shiner Bock is OK; I'll have to look for Shiner Black. Visiting New Zealand I picked up a taste for Speights, wonderful stuff, but I can't find it here, although no doubt it's imported somewhere in the US.

I was introduced to Tuborg when I did a tour of duty in Thule, Greenland. Tuborg is great stuff. The club had happy hour every Friday afternoon. 'Happy hour' meant the drinks were FREE for a whole hour (the overseas clubs then had one armed bandits, and were rolling in money). Do you have any idea how drunk you can get on one hour of free Tuborg?

However we lost a couple of guys after happy hour when they passed out in a snowbank at -50º. Their antifreeeze level wasn't high enough to withstand that before they were found.

Don't drink much beer anymore but I do like a good cold Corona with a little lime slice in it. Most American beer, not the local brews, seem to have lost a lot of their flavor. I used to like Bud but it seems to have lost flavor and it also gives me a headache after one bottle. Sure wish I could get some of the stuff they drink in Germany, they have some good stuff over there. The imports we get here are not the same as what you get there.

Used to be brewed here in PA. Anheiser-Busch owns it now and brews it in NJ. Still all I drink.

My favorite is Summit Extra Pale Ale, followed closely by Bell's Two Hearted Ale. Summit is from St. Paul, close to home, while Bell's is from, I think, Kalamazoo. I'll drink an Oberon, also from Bell's, or a Spotted Cow, from New Glarus, WI.

When it comes to mass-produced beers in cans I favor Old Milwaukee, just as Consumer Reports did.

No lite beers for me, and nothing from Coors, except maybe an occasional Blue Moon.

I love the food at The Glarner Stube!!:D

The Glarner Stube - Swiss & American Cuisine - New Glarus, Wisconsin

Quite a few years ago, we used to have blind beer tasting contests in the office on slow Friday afternoons. One that always came in high in preference was Schaeffer's (but where I live now it's not sold - maybe it's not even made any longer).

I sent several years in Europe where I grew to prefer the heavy and occasional bitter brews. Among my favorites are Murphy's (Irish), Speckled Hen and Old Peculiar (English) and Paulaner Doppelbock (German). In the current age of global trading one can even find these brands in US stores. Try one; you won't be disappointed...

I haven't had anything to drink for a few years now. But back when I did, for me it was Blitz Weinhard, made in Portland. That's what beer was supposed to taste like!

HEFEWEIZEN, a yeast wheat beer, is my favorite. :):)
Pronunciation guide: "hay-fuh-veyt-sssenn"
The beer is yeast turbid, because it is unfiltered.
I learned to like it while in Germany (Bavaria)
More information about it here:German Beer Styles

YES!!!

Franziskaner Weissbier is a favorite.

Some other favorites (other than a good Hefeweizen):

Bitburger Pils

Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale
