686+ 6", hard to beat a .357 for one gun to do most everything.

That's like asking what child you love more, but if I only could take one it would be 27-2 357 mag 6.5 inch barrel or amodel19-4 both shoot great and have great triggers. Probally go with the 27. N- frames are touff and willlast alifetime or two.

The 442-1 is with me most often, and the 22-4 makes for the best shooter, but this would be the keeper for sure:

My favorite Smith is the Model 60-14. Wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

My 3" inch barreled .357 magnum Model 65, most currently in the Ladysmith guise. Why?
1. It can be loaded from "mild to wild" including shot shells.
2. It's 100% reliable
3. It's short enough to conceal
4. It's long enough for decent velocities
5. It's light enough to carry all day
6. It's heavy enough to mitigate recoil well
7. It looks MARVELOUS!

There are many but this is the best shooter I believe, I have had this for a while and It always makes its way to the range with me.

Tough one. Probably my old LAPD-issued 67 would do. I carry the 649 daily, though.

Great memories. I have my old issued 66 4". I've been trying to trade my old partner out of my 60-1 I sold him years ago. He won't budge.
Tough choice but I'd go with my 66-1 2.5" or LH 629 3".

Too many to choose, so I'll go with favorite S&W for carry, the 351c.

My favorite 66-1. But all I have are .38/357 Smiths. Maybe if I had a Mod. 29, I would have to choose that. It would still be very difficult to choose just one.

I will never get rid of my Model 25-2, I wanted it for so long. But I think my favorite is either the Model 14 or 15, can't make up my mind...or maybe my Model 10 with a 5 inch barrel.
