i own a model 65-2, 4 inch barrel. recently, i found federal 158 grains hi shock ammunition at low prices.

i tried to search for this ammo in federal web page, but i didn´t found any information about it.

my questions are: ¿can i shoot this ammo in may six shooter (k frame) without damaging it? ¿is this ammo well suited to be fired with a k frame?

thank you

If your gun is marked 357 then it would be fine.
I assume your the ammunition you are talking about is 357. If it is 38 special ammo, then it will also work fine in it.

The K frame S&Ws are best with 158s in my opinion. The 110 and 125s are hard on guns, but will still shoot them fine. That being said, the best self defense loads are 125 gr JHP loads like the Remington or Fed loading.

!Hola!

Hi-Shock has been Federal's standard line of ammo. (Not Hydra-Shok or some other specialty type.) I think they may have changed the name to Federal Classic.

It shoots well in my guns. I think it will protect you fine from puma or caimans, whatever.
Should kill small to medium deer, too, if that's an issue.

Can you hunt deer with a .357 there? Are agouti considered game animals, and do they get as far south as Argentina?

Could be softpoint, maybe HP. Either would fare well in most field use, although I'd rather have the HP on small deer or humans.

It's fine, standard ammo for any .357 Magnum, although K-frame guns won't hold up as long with full magnum loads as larger guns will. They should be shot most of the time with .38 Special ammo. But when the full .357 load is appropriate, they'll handle it fine.

How expensive in US dollars is this ammo down there?
