One of the harder guns to find, at least around here
Not sure how long they were made but I believe one of shorter runs
I have only seen a few in the wild, this being the second one I’ve owned, sadly letting the first one get away
Just wanted to share a picture and curious to know how many others have one
Thanks for looking

You're a sucker for the 4"ers!! I can't say if I've ever seen a dash 5 myself. That's a great looking specimen and I'll bet you'll find out soon how accurate it is. Congrats man!

I had a 629-5, 5" sold it to a friend. Quickly regretted that and found another 5" dash 4, put a reddot on it. Great gun. Both guns are top notch. There is the big debate about the -5 change to MIM parts, personally I don't think it's a decline in quality. JMHO

How the market speaks is another discussion.

Very nice
I think there’s a few of us on here that would agree with you.
I’ve personally been shooting the mim guns since 2003 or so and haven’t had any issues. Very accurate and durable.

Something tells me they are going to start showing up again as new production.....

I have 686-5’s 629-5’s and the same equivalent of the 629–5 in a model 29–7
If you have a model 29-7 please get in touch with me I am keeping track of the serial numbers and the them, so far we are at 2
But a lot of people believe that the -5 are superior in strength to their predecessor
Here’s my model 29–7
and my model 686–5 golden Bear

Here is a couple more 629–5
Both of these are power ports.
The first one is a 6 1/2 inch power port.
I have never been able to find much on this particular gun.

The second one is a 7 1/2 inch power port. I have the complete box and everything for this one and the product code is 103626. And according to the book of standards, it is one of 500.IMG_4914.jpegIMG_4913.jpeg
