Yes, al-Zawahiri is dead....
...and has gone to his "reward" as was so richly and long overdue deserved.
Before anyone celebrates too much, I'd like to remind you of the ancient myth of the Hydra. "cut off one head and two will rise to take its place".
No different with him. His successor(s) are already there and hiding in plain sight and have been for a while.
al_Zawahiri hid literally in plain sight. The ones I fear are there but invisible.
His death changes nothing and the fight goes on.

I have been trying to be more gracious and forgiving in my approach to things these days.

Here's a very interesting article from the Washington Post on the CIA's hunt for al Zawahiri, and how they got him. They found out where he was months ago, and waited for just the right moment to take him out...

Now that he's had the Hellfire, maybe the Almighty will throw in some brimstone to assist him on his way to the Land o' Satan.
I hope they had a 100lbs of pork strapped on to that missile and that his 70 virgins are all male camels.
Well, this is certainly a far better death than he deserved. He deserved to go in the slowest and most painful way possible!
One of my former employers is Lockheed, now Lockheed Martin. My last three years on active duty were in Research and Development arena in the Washington, D. C. area. I know that we have some really great weapons, but this one is certainly the right "tool" for the right "target"! I thought that FAE (Fuel Air Explosive) was great, but it just can't compete with the "Hellfire R9X"!
I'm still trying to understand how this weapon functions, but "Flying Ginsu" provides some very valuable hints. He was a real "cut up" after the strike! From days of old, Brother Dave Gardiner would have loved it - "..blood, teeth, hair, all over the building..."! Yahoooo!
In the words of our great friend, Clint Eastwood, this really "made my day!"
