finally! found a Model 64 snub!

I found a 64 no- in July this year and really carries and shoots good. Put some Pacs on it and polished it up really nice. Shoots 3 inches at 15 yards for me have to try some different loads. What kind of holster are you going to use?
I got a much better deal though, $347 otd. I feel I did real good.

Congrats. I was lucky enough to recently purchase a M64-2 2", pinned barrel, with original stocks, box and cleaning kit for $400 (originally $450). $447 OTD. I think I walked in just prior to the shop closing. Looks gently used. Serial places it around '77-'79. Can't wait to pick it up, but it might be a month or two. MSP is soooo far behind on paperwork processing right now!

they are one of my favorites, i have two of them. one is the stamped california department of corrections (C.D.C.) guns which floated around a few years ago and the other is a regular non stamped gun.....both are great and how could you go wrong with a 2" K frame rb anyway?

i didnt know they commanded such a price now though.

I picked up a 64-4 2" via auction for $516 + the usual fees a few days ago. A few minor scratches but nothing I can't handle with Mother's. I've been looking for a 2" to go with my 3 and 4"-ers.
Incidentally, SCSW, in the product codes list, says the retail for a 2" 64 in 2001 was $511.

Does that mean I got a good deal on this one @ $350 two years ago? :)

Congratulations. Nice find, and with a pinned barrel and round butt.

This is one model that still eludes me.

Hopefully one day I will be as lucky as you for find such a nice one.

Enjoy it. It is a beauty.

I also love the K frame snubbies. I have quite a few and pretty much buy them as I find them, but the 64 has so far eluded me. I'll correct that as soon as I see one in good shape.

Hello

I have a snub nose model 64 38 nickel plated brand new in the box never shot has the cleaning kit and everything still in the original box it's 100 percent in grave you will never find another my guess wonder what it's worth it was made with in the first 3 or 4 years

Jlantz, Welcome to the forum!

64's are stainless. I may be wrong, but I don't believe they were ever nickel plated from the factory. As some have stated earlier in this thread, some 7 or 8 years ago, they are quite a desirable shooter. So, you name your price on an as new in box example. I bought mine back about 1982 for a pittance of what they are going for now or, even 8 years ago. It is a great shooter, and one of my favorite carry guns.

My LGS has one I've been looking at and they're asking $595. I think that's too much, but they don't want to dicker, even though they've had it for quite a while.

Go for it! You can do it! Bob
Sorry Steve! Old thread. Do they STILL have it?
