I have been looking for a compact 45....now that I know about the Chiefs Specials I might have to get one

According to my handy dandy ruler my CS9 is 6 1/4" long, 5" tall from the top of the Novak sight to the tip of extended mag and 1 3/8" thick to the outside edges of the ambidextrous safety levers (the slide is only 15/16" thick). I agree, it's perfect for CC; lite/compact. I use the Bianchi Model 100 Professional, IWB holster; it rides a little high for some people but the leather between the exposed portion of the pistol and my side makes it very comfortable.

Yup its got a hammer and it was on there when I purchased it. Maybe something SW tried on a few CSs I dont know but I do prefer it over the standard format.

I have a CS9S in the air and plan to send it to the PC for a tune and hammer. I like the ones on the TSW series with the scalloped out bit, as apposed to the flat sided.

The current parts list carries the 39xx/59xx/69xx hammers at $42+- retail,, give or take the DAO vs SA/DA differences. I suspect they may give a brake when combined with the tune up??

I just traded for one
It's like new, need help finding Night sights, holster, etc. Just for that custom touch. I traded a LNIB Glock and a conversion kit along wit a load of Glock stuff that was sitting in the safe for a decade. I really like this gun, but wish I could get a set of CT lasers for it.

You said it! Drop by the Crimson Trace website; under the "Support" link there is a "Request New Model" link. Put in the Smith & Wesson CS9. If enough people do it, they might develop the grips.
Oh, and while you're at it, request grips for the 3913 too. ;D

Will the cs 40 holster fit the 45?
Every time I read about the CS9 I kick myself. I bought one NIB on clearance for $325 several years ago. I liked it but already had an EDC so after some time in the safe I traded it. Needless to say I wish I had it back (especially for that price).
