I have become interested in reloading primarily for the ammo shortages and because of overall cost. But I can't even get started because of the primer shortage. I can't be at my local gun shop everyday or even be on the phone tracking down who has what and when. How is a feller gonna ever find some primers? Is there a online source that could be counted on? Sorry for the rant but I find it frustrating. I'd like to spend more time at the range enjoying the sport of shooting but can't.

I think your best bet, if you can't be watching the shelves and the online sites (midwayusa, cabela's, natchezss, etc.) all the time, is to put in a back-order somewhere (i.e. cabela's) for a few thousand primers and hang tough for a couple weeks (months?) while the back-order comes in.

Or you can sign up for reminders at MidwayUSA when they get restocked with primers and try to order what you need during the 10 or 20 minutes they're in-stock...

I agree - my backorder for 10,000 spp came in last week after about 3 months.
