Very nice! Can you show a pic of the grips from the rear? I'm trying to find a comparison of the thickness between Altamonts and factory combats.

Congrats

That looks real nice.. Hickok45 did a video with one just like it. 3" 7 shot right?

I just bought my first revolver as well. It's a 4" 586-3 that should be on the way tomorrow..
hehehe

rtbaron, for a first revolver you picked one of the better ones. Remember that one Smith and Wesson is one to many and 10 is not enough:D

Rtbaron, that's a great first revolver. I was searching for one myself before deciding on a 586 Comp L. Aren't 3" guns great? They handle and balance well, and they have the full length ejector. I may keep looking for a 686 3"...

rtbaron,

Congrats. I just bought same one last week as well. I waiting for the background check before I can take deliver.

Got to say you made a great choice for your first handgun. Good shooting!

I purchased a new 686 plus this past weekend. After two range visits I need to reload more 38 ammo. Nice shooter!

BTW, anyone know where I might find those grips in the original image. I have the rubber grips.

Thanks

I believe they are made by Altamont.
