Hi,
Was at a local gun show today and picked up my first Smith & Wesson revolver. It is model 29-2 6 inch blue revolver around 95% plus with a oak presentation case, all the paperwork and original tools for $600. I was wondering if I bought it at a good price. Thanks in advance for the help Winchester66

I believe you did very well. My book shows you piece to have been mfg. in 1981. N82001-N932100 were made that year. Good find.

regards
Bill

Niiiice. One of the last P&R. Great catch.

Around here that woulda lasted about a nanosecond at $600. I've seen WAY lesser revolvers go for WAY more.

S&W revolvers are addicting.

You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.;)

Congrats on the 29. They are great guns, and you picked up one of the last of the pinned and recessed ones. And at a great price these days too! So tell us, what is next on your list? I would suggest a matching 4 incher, and them maybe a foray into the realm of the .357......

Congratulations on the purchase of the 29-2 and you got a very good deal as the presentation case, paperwork, and tools adds at least $100 in value to the deal.
