M&P core, ported. Apex flat faced trigger does not reset? Installed correctly, rechecked a couple of times. Can reset trigger and take "L" shaped wire and reset safety. Safety works when manually reset. Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance

I installed in like the 3 others. I even took it apart and reinstalled in two more times. I am stumped. The other 3 work beautifully, this one installs the same, but something is not working like it should. That is why I have asked for other peoples experiences....

If you have not done this, it is likely your answer. These are very small, minor adjustments. Go slowly. You are essentially setting the timing of your pistol--move striker block out of the way, trip sear, allow for sear to raise again and hook onto striker tab 1/2" before slide goes into battery.

If adjusting the trigger bar loop doesn't work, contact Apex. You may need a stronger sear spring, or a different sear. These guns have some unpredictable tolerances.

Thank you so much for the information. I will work on it tonight and let you know the outcome!

BTW, when you have a dead trigger/failure to reset striker, try moving the slide rearward just 3/4" to see if the sear catches the striker, then push the slide forward into battery. Usually will work with this manual operation.

Do you mean that the little trigger safety is getting stuck rearward? That sounds like interference between the trigger and the frame instead of sear/trigger bar timing or is an issue with the trigger itself. Call Apex and get their advice before continuing.

I was wondering this also.

If it's the safety I had a similar issue after installing. I think I tapped a little too hard when driving the pin for the trigger bar. and squeezed the rigger slightly. I slipped a flat screwdriver in the safety slot on the trigger and twisted very slightly too open it up and problem solved. When I say twisted slightly, I was certain it wouldn't be enough thinking I had twisted so lightly I didn't do anything but that did it. I didn't want any damage on my new trigger.
