Hard to open
Often, when the cylinder is hard to open on a new purchase of a used revolver, the previous owner or the gun shop counter guy switches the side plate screws. They put in a screw that is a little too long in the hole above the trigger and it puts pressure on the yoke, making it hard to open.
A simple half turn out can tell you if that is the problem.
