Anybody have any experience with this firearm or company? They charge $800 for this model. Worth looking into?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1375143072.963099.jpg

That model seems new. They have been advertising it on a lot of forums the last 2 months.

Frankly I don't see the point. I mean, it's a cool looking gun, but I'm not sure about reliability. The remove a lot of material from the slide. This reduces slide momentum and can cause feeding issues. It's one problem you see a lot in 1911s with a shorter than 5" slide.

Basically it's a standard M&P with a different color barrel and a machined slide. They are charging $250 over MSRP for it.

I don't know. It does look cool. I'd have to see it in operation before I'd buy one.

I will say it is a nice looking gun, and I would think that they can customize the colors. A tad expensive, but you get what you pay for in custom guns. I understand what Rastoff is saying, but I would think they have tested it, and the lighter slide is not an issue. If not they would be getting a lot of guns back with issues. One way to offset a lighter slide is with a heavier recoil spring, but not too heavy to cause ejection issues.

The lighter slide is no issue. Think ported and lightened both far less moving mass yet still functions and in many cases functions better. Granted usually you will change springs to accommodate this but I don't what this gun has internally if anything at all

According to the website the gun has:
A machined slide.
The slide is Cerakoted.
The barrel is TN coated.

That's it. If you want an upgraded trigger, it's another $80 or so. They make no mention of upgraded springs.

The slide openings look like an invitation for lint and other goodies to get in there possibly messing with the recoil spring and other parts. Looks nice but not very functional.
