Fellow has a new unfired Sig 365 in the box with 2 mags, I have plenty of 9mm ammo and just wondering if it would possibly be a good buy at the price he wants($600). My wife shoots a Kahr 9mm and as she shoots with both hands it quite often barks the top of her left thumb. Like to get her something a little bit longer in the grip...and the 365 holds 12 rounds. Any help appreciated.. I'm not a big fan of fantastic plastics. For about the same I can get her a Kimber micro 9 new

That's a hundred more than I paid about 5 months ago, but seems to be the going price these days.
I went from a Kahr 9mm the minute I picked one up. It has a manual safety which is a big selling point with me.

The optional 12 round magazine and Houge’s
Grip sleeve for it make the gun fit my hand perfectly.
I carry it in a belt holster, but with the 10 round magazine I can use a pocket holster and carry it in my front pants pocket very comfortably when the situation calls for it.
It shoots right where I point it.
I have found the last gun I need.

I've seen a few new ones advertised for a little less like at PSA. But they sell out fast.

My son just paid $619 for his wife’s Sig P365 birthday gift. If your wife shoots right handed, make sure both her thumbs in her grip go down the left side of the gun. If she wraps her left thumb over the top, she will bleed no matter the gun. A common problem for newer semi auto shooters. Hope this helps.

$600 is a bit high but if you plan of keeping it over a few years the difference is really not all that important.
I sold my Kahr PM9 a couple of years after carrying my P365. I find it a much easier gun to shoot accurately.
Side note, I much prefer the Sig over the Hellcat as I find it has less recoil and is easier to rack the slide. By comparison, my LGS had a pre-owned Hellcat on the floor yesterday for $450.

I guess I'm not worried about the money. I just want her to have a gun that fits and is reliable. I know that Sig makes good stuff, Thanks for the replies. I guess I will buy it.

I didn't realize P365 prices had gone up that much. My shooting buddy paid $499 a few months ago. We split the rental on one at an indoor range earlier this year, and each put a couple boxes through it. We both liked it. He ultimately bought one, and it is now his EDC. I stuck with my J frames.

Any chance you can rent one somewhere so you'll know she likes it before plunking down the money?

Not much in the line of gun rentals here. I think I will buy the darn thing. I don't worry too much about her not liking it..If she doesn't I may. I am not a fantastic plastic person but I do need a small gun to carry for summer use too. I traded my Micro 9 for the 19-4 2 1/2 inch gun I got recently. Summer carry needs to be smaller. I either carry a 19 or 66 4 inch or a Kimber 4 inch 45 auto in winter...lots of clothes and coats then ya know! I mean how much can I lose? But I am going to sell her Kahr. A very reliable handgun but I'd like for her to have a little larger pistol that doesn't eat her thumb...I keep trying to remind her to lay the off hand thumb down but...well you know.? I try not to tell her TOO much. She is pretty accurate with a handgun...numb from the neck up is what I call it

Well the gun is new unfired and I have talked him to a price of 500 and a pound of Retumbo and a pound of 3031(it was given to me and I don't use it)...and he may want the Kahr 9mm. For his daughter he said...ah yeh. the same fellow I got the M-19 2 1/2 inch from. I also have a bunch of 9mm brass and bullets he wants...as well as a couple 100 Rd boxes of 45 auto Win White box as well as a 100 round box of 9mm WWBox . I will make a bit of profit on that stuff.

If you want a bit longer grip, you can get an XL grip module for the 365, but the 10 round mags won't fit any more. Only the 12's and 15's. If you want a bit wider grip, you can get the Hogue beaver tail sleeve.

As an active or retired firefighter, you can purchase a P365 from Atlantic Tactical. The P365 is $476.99, the P365XL will set you back $540.99. With shipping to your FFL, your under $600. Just Sayin

Well for the first time ever I handled a Sig P-210...holy cow...It did feel good in the hand and was very intuitive to point. If it weren't so expensive I'd have had to buy it. I told the fellow I would take the 365...it has 2 12 rd mags all the paperwork holster etc. 500 and a lb of Retumbo and the can of free 3031..I'm not gonna complain... But momma doesn't want to let the Kahr go down the road either. I may have to sell the SA 9mm Range Officer that is sitting in the safe. It's new but that darn P-210 is calling me. At 1500 bucks ?? I'd better try chilling out:D

Yes I did - and I'm glad I posted that I was looking for one a couple of weeks ahead of you. ;)

Pineappleshooter, a board member, sold me his virtually new P365 for $500 + $25 shipping. This will be the replacement for my LC9 that fired out of battery.

It should arrive at my FFL the day after tomorrow. I can hardly wait.

I've been carrying my PT145 for a couple of months now, and it is just too bulky.

They're great little guns. I only paid about $450 for a NIB one back in June, but I know current gun prices have went though the roof.
