Even a "blind hog" as they say... I ran across this at a local auction and was able to acquire it.
Fourth Model Straight Line Target Single Shot
My book says 1,870 made from 1925-1936. This ones 1,729 so it must be towards the end.
Great condition with just a few small blemishes. I cleaned up the grip screw on the left side after I viewed these pictures. It was only surface rust. This pistol was only lightly used and well maintained.
I'm happy to have stumbled upon this one.

wow.. the memories this brings back. back when my dad was collecting, he had a couple straightlines. I was a young teen and so wanted to shoot one of them, begged multiple times, and he declined. glad he bought a used 46 for me to shoot instead.

What a beautiful gun. I've got one that shipped 5-1-29, S# 1132. Went to a hardware store and sold to them for a whopping $20.85
Mine is not as nice as yours but it has the same kind of box and interior. They are a lot of fun to shoot. When I take mine to the range
I routinely get reminded to remove the magazine, when it's time for everyone to secure their weapons and retrieve their targets.

Have fun with it.

This is a beautiful acquisition. I’ve never seen one for sale and I probably couldn’t afford it in any case, but I can dream. Thanks for posting these pics.
