I'm planning to build a "Franken-Smith" with a bunch of parts I have. The K frame is an IL (which I'll remove and plug) and about the only thing I need ,other than some nice stocks, is a barrel. Will the threads on any non-pinned .38/.357 barrel be compatible ?? Thank you in advance for your comments/advice:):)

The threads on all the K-frame barrels are the same. Fitting will be required, with respect to the front gauge or B/C gap, to achieve proper indexing of the barrel in the frame, and to have the correct interface between the extractor rod and the front locking bolt, if the gun has this front lock mechanism.

Thank you sir. You've answered my question:):)
