Just saw Frank's makes a Red Hot seasoning blend in a shaker jar. Made some chicken thighs tonight and it's to die for. Works much better than the sauce unless you're basting on the grill.

My recipe for chcken thighs

Preheat oven to 450°

Ingredients:
Chicken thighs... bone in/skin on (much cheaper)
Garlic salt
Dried oregano
Frank's Red Hot seasoning
Tajin lime seasoning ( or what's available)

Sprinkle seasonings liberally on both sides and cook until internal temp reaches 195°. I use a probe with the counter top reader.

The thighs come out extemely juicy. Seasoning is also good on fries, popcorn, burgers or whatever you can imagine. The skin alone is worth the effort.

Franks is THE best hot sauce; just the right amount of heat with a great flavor. Other popular sauces like Tobasco give the heat but no good flavor. And yes, I use Franks on everything ( well maybe not oatmeal or donuts ).:D

Wife just last evening made some hot wings and drumsticks usng Franks.
She cooked them in the air fryer, not my favorite, they don't seem to be
as well done as I like.
Franks is gooood.

When I was 20 years old (that's over 50 years ago), I bet a buddy a buck that I could guzzle a bottle of Frank's Hot Sauce in under a minute. Believe it or not, I won. Great stuff. Of course, I wasn't feelin' real great for a while afterwards, but on the bright side, I'll bet it took care of any worms I may have had.:D

We used to put a drop or two in a shot of Tequila. Called them Hot Shots. Try it before you knock it! If you don't like either one, chances are you might like one of those shots. It changes the taste of both in a good way! But, don't use the cheap Tequila; there's a difference.
I'll be looking for that seasoning blend in the shaker jar. I don't eat a lot of "Rabbit food", but I'll bet it's great on a salad with ranch dressing.
Thanks for the hot tip, coltle6920!

Love Franks! I literally do put that 'stuff' on almost everything. Just for a change of pace though, I recently picked up this pack of hot pepper sauces to try out.

go to franksredhot.com for all of their products. It will tell you where you can purchase them. You would think you could buy direct from them.

Gonna make the switch to Red Hot after I finish the 2 small bottles of hot sauce in the refrigerator. Will take till the end of the year to finish. Want to finish the Carolina reaper and Scorpion pepper on hand. Both are extremely hot, usually 3 drops per helping of food. After the 3 drops the food could be ruined, too hot. Larry

I've found few hot sauces or hot seasoning blends/ rubs that weren't good. There seems to be an endless supply of different ones to account for different tastes and I try new ones regularly.

One I've been using recently (I'm on the second bottle) is Texas Pete's "Hotter". I recommend it; good heat, though not overwhelming, and good flavor. I've never tried the regular version. These may have been around for a long time but I've only lately noticed them.

There are a lot of cheap hot sauces, but all I've tried have been good even if many of them could stand a little more fire in the mixture. One drawback to most of the cheap ones is the very high salt content.

Some criticize original Tabasco and that's fine, but if I had to choose one over all the rest, Tabasco would be it. Like guns, though, it would be a dull world if you had to choose one and stick with it.

Back in the days when fraternity hazing was akin to death match cage fighting, I had to swallow raw eggs and chase them with shots of Frank's. I had no issue with either, but the brother who instigated the "ritual" threw up watching me down them. Alcohol may or may not have been a contributing factor to all of the above.
I've used Frank's for 50+ years starting with on their wings back in the early 70 at Frank and Teresa's Anchor Bar and Grill after Sabers games and concerts in Buffalo. Their rub is also great, but I prefer the Dinasaur Dry Rub from the Dinasaur BBQ folks.

Well, when Franks Red Hot seasoning is no longer available I'm sure there will be something else as good or maybe even better.

Wasn't that long ago that Sriracha was the big thing.

please describe the Flavor of Franks Seasoning packet .Is Franks Hot Sauce in A Powder?

The Seasoning Blend has a bit of heat to it, along with sweet, salty, garlic, vinegar flavors. Not quite the same as the Frank's Red Hot in the bottle. You can taste the flavor of the original Frank's, with a flavor of its own. It' pretty good stuff, though.
