I thought some folks might like to know about this.
From my post in another thread:
My went through the first three magazines just great, had a FTE halfway through the 4th magazine. Now it FTEs alot, as much as 5 or 6 per magazine. The ejector tweak did not correct the problem, may have to send it in.

So I came across a post in another forum by a guy who had the same issue; the ejector tweak discussed here did not work. What ended up working for him was bending the ejector up, towards the top of the bolt, reducing the gap between the two. I tried this today before going to the range and it worked! Went through at least 500 rounds without a single issue of any kind.
Not even an FTF with Federal bulk.
Not quite sure how much the adjustment was, but it was at least 1/16in. The gap is about 1/32 now.

Do you mean the ejector tweak ? The extractor is in the bolt. Glad you fixed your problem, its nice when a plan comes together.;)

Yeah I did this as well I posted it a while back and I have been to the range twice and shot over 2k without a single FTE I couldn't be happier and glad that I did have to send it in glad someone else has the same results as me.

I had the same problem when I first got my 15-22. My better half and I took off for the weekend and went down to our property in hills of southern Missouri to try out the new rifle. Things didn't go well. Just like awake33 every 2 or 3 rounds FTE. Man I was bummin. It just so happened we had her 15-22P with us. I remembered all the threads and videos on the ejector fixes so lets give it a try. I broke both guns open and noticed the gap between the bolt and ejector on my rifle was wider than her pistol. I tweaked the ejector up, closer to the bolt so it looked to be about the same as the pistol and everything worked out fine. If it wasn't for this forum, I would have sent it back to Smith and had to wait for the return. This way I didn't miss a lick.
