Stopped by the Tampa store and it's 5% off guns and 10% off everything else - from the original price!!!.

Not worth the trip.

Employees told me they were expecting a 5-6 month glide slope to closing.

Bleeding cash for another 5-6 months. Somebody is losing a lot of money.

was announced the one in Peoria was closing then the next day that it was one of the few that would remain open ..

Its about 20 miles away and the Bass Pro Shop bets them on most things and is about half as close .. the local farm stores usually have the best prices on ammo .. and would rather see business remain in town ..

The Gander store here in the Chattanooga area is closing. Recently built a Cabela's and Bass Pro down the road. With two Academy stores, Sportsman's Werehouse and a Dick's, this area seems oversaturated with these type of retailers all within minutes drive of each other.

My local Gander isn't near any big box competition, so I hope that it reopens under new ownership. It's not on any open/closed list, so I guess it could go either way.

The only deal I ever got from Them was the day before They closed in Avon I was able to buy five boxes of 40 cal. Winchester train and defend Ammo and one box of Remington 40 cal.Golden Saber Ammo for $12.00 a Box as it was the last on the shelves.
I am so glad that Cabella's opened a store in Avon Ohio.

You know that they sucker those that think GOOB sales are real sales. Only time you get any good discounts is when there about to close and you find things that no one else wants.

Geeeesh... after all this time since Gander opened here I finally found something that I thought worthy of purchase... and now they're closing.

I got an official Gander Mountain tactical head lamp with a scorching 80 lumen of near eye blistering light to use while working on guns (lost my other one). After the 30% off Everything Must Go Store Closing price... $6.99. If they had just stayed open another three years maybe I'd have found something else to buy!

I had done business w/them until I went in to buy a shirt on sale and needed to try it on. Their fitting rooms are locked and you push a button to summon a clerk to help you. I tried for several minutes, the store was deserted (not busy) and finally left. I will not be back.

Yep, I found this very frustrating and was about to leave when a clerk showed up. I left the door ajar when I was finished...maybe save someone else some frustration, but I bet they are quick to close them.
