Gas Price Check...

$3.39 across the river in Missouri yesterday.

Don't know here in IL. I refuse to buy it here. It's likely $4.00 or more due to our taxes.

Dothan, AL on 3/6 Regular is hovering between $3.769 and $4+. diesel is all over $4.
On Friday Enterprise jumped 30 cents during the four hours we were in Dothan setting up for the show, then jumped another 10 cents while we were at the show yesterday. Now sitting a$3.999 at most stations. Diesel is all over $4.
At the Marathon in the country between Hartford and Enterprise they have held at $3.689 for three days and diesel just below $4.
No end in sight here.

One aspect of gasoline prices
in given periods is that they can
can drive vehicle purchases.

Sustained high gas prices often
drive up sales of smaller cars,
the SUV market suffers. Then
comes lower prices and people
flock back to bigger vehicles.

However long this gas "crisis"
prevails, the use of electric
vehicles is going to keep going
up. End of story.

In the neighborhood of $3.70 for regular in West Texas today. Cheapest I saw for regular was $3.50 which was in Del Rio. I have found that the cheapest gas is usually in Uvalde, but not today.

I've not got gas in the past few days. It was $3.59 last time I filled up. Just checked online and the norm in my area is $4.00 now.

Doesn't really matter, and can't see a reason to complain...it ain't gonna change nothing.

People still have to drive no matter what it costs. Usually my area doesn't get much rain at all in April and May. My bike gets close to 50 MPG if I keep it below 85 MPH. Just another reason to ride more.

my youngest brother that works just out side of boston filled up at $4.29 came out of work at 4am to go home, empty tank him and 5 other cars all had the gas siphoned
I'm sure there will be a lot more of that, time to get a locking gas cap.

In my area around Madison, this weekend most were in the $3.74-3.89 range. Our Costco getting long lines with their $3.59 price. I have seen jumps of $.10-20 per day and now am just waiting for that first station to pop up on gas buddy to crack $4.00 letting the rest follow. As it is coming and I would say within a day or two tops.

Saw a news report that now not only do we have to worry about catalytic converter thieves but people have been caught on camera drilling holes in gas tanks to drain the gas.
Just nuts.

A bit of consumer perspective from one of the world's largest oil, gas, and refined fuel exporters across the pond.
$8.73 a gallon was the average pump price of regular gasoline in Norway, BEFORE the Ukraine invasion.

They did that in the Catskills BITD and probably today more than ever.
Out hunting one day with a friend, parks his car and we walk into the woods, maybe a half mile.
About an hour later we hear voices and what sound like a drill. Billy Bob siphoned off the gas. Good thing we weren't too far from the cabin.

They also steal fuel oil as the downstaters quickly find out. The locals know exactly who lives there and who comes up for either the summer or hunting.

Premium, what our cars require, is $4.11 today locally.

Did they do any damage prying open the fuel door, or does his vehicle not have one that locks. It's very considerate of the thieves to use a siphon. Here they use a 1/2" drill and a metal bucket. Bad guy leaves when the flow slacks off leaving the rest of the fuel to run out all over your driveway, tires, landscaping and wherever. Pick-ups and fullsize vans are primary targets due to ease of access.

Filled up with diesel on the way to work today, $4.50/gallon. It can be had cheaper around the valley (allegedly), but involved driving anything from 6 to 40 miles out of my way round trip. Nope. Sam's club by work was expensive at $4.75/gallon.

Highest price recorded locally for diesel is $5.20. Buddy was in SoCal and said Costco Regular was over $1/gallon cheaper than the other gas stations 100 yards away. Highest he saw was $5.30/gallon for regular near Santa Barbara.
